About the song
A short recording of a train is turned into 12 versions of itself, on a chromatic scale. All 12 versions are looped beginning to end, based on their new length after the pitch shift. (The higher pitched samples repeat more often.) The descending staircase effect heard at the beginning gets farther and farther apart until new note combinations begin to appear.
