Story Behind the Song
This song first came to mind somewhere on Interstate 40 between Amarillo, Texas & Bakersfield, California - 2002. I'm really not too sure as to exactly where I was or which state I was in. The gist of the song comes from an incident I read about while down on the Delta, in Mississippi. I finished the lyrics to the song as I was recording it during 'The Nashville Sessions"!
