About the song
Written during my stint in the US Navy while floating on a ship in the Mediteranean Sea. I was in a Navy rock band called Triangle, and we toured the world playing for embassies, bases. Pretty cool...
Lyrics
sometimes it hits you
so bad you want to fall
thats the one they call the north wind
out on the ocean
send the boat back in
well I think Im kind of sick
wont you send
over there stands a man
he knows who he is
he rules the world through inheritance
not a back seat will he take

dont you think its time
we stopped with all this greed
give me water bread or freedom
its all I need
I dont need no handouts
but Ill give you a tip
dont let the man get over
his feet are going to stick
onto you like burning fire
you cant get free of his grip
I know you think your the devil
tryin to give this world a final slip

sometimes it hits you
no warnings ever known
if you prepared yourself you might win
but if you dont your like a home on sandy ground
a big ol storm
well it might do you in
well I am the man
I know who I am
free the blind man
