About the song
I noticed that each time I looked at a picture of her, I saw something different... maybe a different expression, a different emotion to align with whatever I was feeling at the time. Like, if I was feeling down, her smile would turn into more of a look of understanding; if I was happy for whatever reason, her smile became even larger. It's just a strange phenomenon that probably exists only in my head, but that's okay, I kinda like it.

This song took me almost a dozen takes before I picked this one out of the lot... Thanks to GDH for the help. I appreciate it, bro.

Enjoy. :)
Lyrics
It's a certain longing I feel
At the end of the middle of a very long week...

I love how the expressions in your pictures
Seem to change with my state of mind
I love how one quick smile from a snapshot of a grin
Can reassure me that everything's fine...

Your face is intoxicating in black and white
As I speak to you, and kiss you goodnight
I know that you can hear me, somehow I know
You're so far away, but I've never felt this close.

I love you more now than I ever have before
And I cannot wait to see you at my door
As I look into your eyes, I know
I know that's where I belong (where I belong).

Your face is intoxicating in black and white
As I speak to you through it, I kiss you goodnight
I know that you can hear me, somehow I know
You're so far away, but I've never felt this close.
Photograph of the way things were, not long ago
It only serves to remind me, how I miss you so...

Even if it's only a photograph of a memory...
