Marie Miller - CD Fast Lane
Just a few weeks ago I reviewed Marie Miller's single 'No Ordinary Girl'. At that time I heard a seemingly very talented young lady - 'Fast Lane'    with its thirteen tracks confirms my initial feelings about Marie Miller
- This girl has a terrific voice and knows just how to get the most out of it! ane' with its thirteen tracks confirms my initial feelings about Marie Miller - This girl has a terrific voice and knows just how to get the most out of it!
Tending to err on the R&B side of contemporary pop, Marie Miller has a very special quality; her voice is nothing short of excellent and her delivery is massively impressive. Miller delivers no matter what nuances and/or inflections are required of her. She can do dusky blues, polished jazz, slick R&B or just pure, raunchy pop. Miller is versatile and extremely radio-friendly and any one of the tracks here could work as a single. Yes, Marie Miller is as commercial as hell! But, commercial in the all-encompassing, fully rounded way rather than just being a pretty girl with a great voice. Miller puts her heart and soul into everything she does - she really is up there with the 'big' names when it comes to commitment and musical competence.
'Fast Lane' is a massively impressive debut album that truly showcases Marie Miller's talent and potential. Featuring songs by some pretty influential songwriters, 'Fast Lane' is polished and powerful. With decent promotion Marie Miller could soon become a household name. 'Fast Lane' is a beautifully balanced album in terms of style and influence but it's also a very commercially targeted album; the stunningly performed songs feature big arrangements, are as catchy as hell and have instant impact. Marie Miller brings it all home with well honed precision and more than a little sensuality.

Review of "NO Ordinary Girl" about Marie Miller's NEW single in 2007
'No Ordinary Girl'would just about sum up Marie Miller. This obviously massive vocal talent, originally from Copenhagen, blasts out her new single with fire and passion against a pretty awesome backdrop of some quality.
A beautiful woman with an equally beautiful voice, 'No Ordinary Girl' could be just what the doctor ordered.
Marie Miller sounds quite sassy and almost irresistible. Her voice ranges from delicate and emotional to full-on rock-chick. 'No Ordinary Girl' might just be the song that brings her wider recognition; it's got a great feel to it - more rocky and expressive than Anastacia but with a similarly powerful and full-on delivery. The song is certainly not pure pop; it's deeper and more all-encompassing than that. The way Miller gets the passion of the words across is fantastic - she certainly knows how to deliver the goods and she uses all of her power and experience to get the most out of what is already a 'big' song. Miller goes on to prove a point on the 'B' side, 'How Do I Get There'. Almost in the Celine Dion style, it's an equally strong number and once again Miller does it justice. Perhaps the title points to some of the frustration of making it in the music business - 'How Do I Get There' - well, it sounds like you're doing all the right things Marie Miller. If this single and its accompanying song are anything to go on, I feel sure Marie Miller is on the right track and will be 'getting there' very soon!"
