quick, and it is pitched to the ears and hearts of young people looking for meaning, hope and a way to experience the abundant life; Frontliners are unequivocal: it's not drugs, it's not sex, it's not in the exercise of violent, angry power, but the way to the joys of life is the way of faith, hope and love--the greatest, of course, is love.
The concert at Stony Brook University October 7, 2004 delivered on the promise of Pentecost: everyone heard the Good News. It was a performance that exceeded my expectations.

If LL wasn't still alive, I'd say you were channeling him from beyond! Let's start with the message - beautiful, positive and effectively delivered by both the emcee and the singer. The track is solid and complex without being overbearing and mastered superbly. The delivery of the emcee started out sounding like LL Cool J from "I need love", but quickly jumped into his own style, showing experience in rhythm and cadence. The singer was soft, endearing and the perfect complement to the message of the song. Overall, I think you've got a great song here. Thank you for keepin the positive vibe alive, in these gangster days
I said it before and imma say it again, this is hot , it's deep
not a lot of emcees talk about God the way u guys do...
keep it up
we shall overcome

Awesome, like an intelligent Eminem and his crew. Love it, you've got a fan in me. I am adding you to my playlist. Cool style. I hadn't realized Eminem's sound was so distinct. Love the positive tip and Eminem vibe carried throughout your music.-Reviewed by Jason Frost (Jason Frost & The Love Junkies) http://www.jasonfrost.com ; [also known as Jr. Boom , http://www.gilgamish.com] ;

Killer intro - creativity and humor go a long way! Really tight verses with lyric you've obviously experienced...you guys complement each other very well! And way to tell your story in a song.... I love the " office scene" you create - haha! Man I dig this... simple keys to accent the chorus works great! The hook is catchy - the production is on - adding this one to my playlist.
WOW! This was the real deal. It was a pleasure to listen. I've noticed that I have no problem with finding something that someone could have done better on any given song that's posted on this site. A great percentage are flawed in some way. This was one of those wonderful but rare times where the song was flawless.
the mcs are real nice. i like the flow. the hook is thick and interesting. the track is solid. the longer it plays the more i like it. lyrics are well crafted and the way you create the scene at the record lable kills. if you guys are christian rappers, you are the single best christian rappers ever. i despise that sort of thing, but in your case you rock. all around very well done. you likely will have a chance to turn some lables down in the future.

The passage of music that you use is like the old Moody Blues track, A Whiter Shade of Pale, which is based on a piece by Bach. The music works as a back-drop to your lyric/rap. Plus, you make it into a chorus with your female R&B vocalist performance. The only problem is that there is no counter balance like you would have with a different passage serving as a chorus.
Lyrics:7
Your faith has a powerful message to communicate and you testify with a lot of a feeling about your conversion. Still, there are so many situations in the world today that would serve as illustrations of how faith is tested, that you could include these as elements of your lyric so listeners could relate to how faith can make a difference in their daily lives.
Arrangement &
Production:8
Your production is lush sounding and frankly heavenly. You evoke the sound of beauty and peace in your track. The dreamy sound keeps the love of God at the forefront and the reassurance people receive from faith needs as much suport as you can give it.
Lead Vocal:8
Although neither of the voices are classic, both have power and intimacy. More like the testimony of everyday people, both the vocal performances speak to people's hopes and dreams for a better life through faith. Both voices are on time and in tune, technically.
Musicianship:9
All the playing and programming performances are on the money here. The feeling is coming through on each performance and they add up to an ensemble performance that is beautifully integrated. The only drawback is that the track get slightly repetitive without evolving individual performances.
Originality:8
You don't reinvent the wheel here, but you do a great job of making this idea your own. Putting the hip-hop into faith based music can sometimes seem a little dry, but you put enough real music into it, that the gospel sound comes through shining bright as any sun.
Marketability:8
I would think the Christian labels woud eat this up. And if you have more music that is not strictly faith based, the major labels could be interested. I think to get A&R Execs to pony up money for a record deal, you might have to go back into the studio for deeper production values. But as a demo for publishers, this track works great.
General Comments:
As beautiful as your track sounds, you could up the ante in terms of your production. There is a little too much repetition in the track; you can keep the music bed the same, but you should orchestrate the track better as it unfolds to keep the listener's interest. Check out the tracks you like most among current hits for some clues.
