Bob Blackshear
Hill Country Gospel
The roots of American Bluegrass have undeniably been nourished by Gospel music. So much so, that we now have a genre of Bluegrass dedicated solely to proclaiming the "good news." We call that genre Gospel Grass. If you are a fan of Gospel Bluegrass, then you will certainly be surprised to know that a rock solid Bluegrass/Country musician, singer, and songwriter lives right here in the Hill Country. His name is Bob Blackshear, and he has recently completed a twelve track album that you are sure to enjoy.
On "Hill Country Gospel," Bob combines all the essential elements of Bluegrass song writing with his message of devotion and love. Bob enlisted some fantastic musicians to round out his recordings. They include Tim Simpson, James Dinkins, Mary Hattersly, Darvin Willhoite, and Greg Lowry.
My favorite songs on "Hill Country Gospel" are "Matters of the Heart," "There's a Crown up in Heaven Just for You," and "Stay in the Field." I really enjoyed the song writing of Bob Blackshear, and I hope you will too. I hope you take the time to visit this talented Hill Country songwriter's web site--
