Ich hatte mal wieder die Gelegenheit, in meiner eigenen Stadt Ingolstadt und sozusagen auch gleich um die Ecke von meiner Wohnung, im Club Paradox, die Altbekannten Hardrocker Quireboys aus den 80s zu sehen. Es spielten zuvor zwei Vorgruppen mit Namen Scandal und Doomfoxx.
Fang ich mal mit Scandal aus Ingolstadt an. Anfang des Jahres 1992 sorgten die Jungs von Scandal für erhebliches Aufsehen. Nach ihren Erfolgen in den Internationalen MP3 Charts und einem sensationellen Auftritt, in einem Einkaufszentrum in Ingolstadt war es recht still um die "deutsche Antwort auf AC/DC". Als Vorgruppe haben sie uns so richtig gut eingeheizt und das „Good Old Rock´n Roll“ Feeling wieder aufleben lassen. Das außergewöhnliche bei Scandal ist die Stimme von Carlos. Die erinnert einen wirklich an einen Amerikaner mir sehr rauchig kratziger Stimme.

now here's an experienced band that makes listening a pleasure. scandal make rock songs - good, solid, regular rock songs that.... well, they rock. in that 80's cock rock, big hair style that bands like poison and motley crew made so popular. and it's still popular in north america. rock is the big selling genre and when there are tunes like the ones written by scandal, it's easy to see the popularity thing. musically, scandal shine. they're tight, together and talented. all the songs i reviewed are commercial in nature and to be perfectly truthful, they could easily be found on any rock radio station here, the quality is excellent. even when scandal get all mushy and do a half mellow/ half heavy tune as they do in my girl they keep it from being sappy and lame. a trap far too many rock bands fall into. these guys sound like they've been doing the rock jaunt for a while. their maturity in song writing is just plain polished. the big haired rock guys have a winner!

btw, i don't know if they have big hair but they sound like they do :)
