Los Angeles, CA – 1p5 is more than just a hip-hop performer. He’s also a producer. He’s turned his experience and innate talent as a rapper into success behind the scenes as a producer. His Dayton, Ohio label, Dragon City – kicked off in collaboration with Xzaver Howard.
“Look Good” is the exciting new single from the upcoming 1p5 release “Good to Great,” which – appropriately enough, given the title – finds this artist reaching new levels of skill. Sharp as ever, 1p5 is overturning standards previously set and establishing hot new guidelines for how good to be to be the best.
The song is something of an anthem for 1p5 and the new label. “We are an upstart label so we want to ‘look good’ from the get go.” And “Look Good” and its mother album are a standout start for such a goal. The song features a guest appearance by V.K.1, who helps show listeners how to look good by demonstrating just how great one can be as a hip-hop purveyor.
“The album is fun and the beats are banging,” asserts 1p5. “We love what we do and it comes across in the music.” The best music – of any genre – is that which transfers the thrills the artist feels to the listener with utmost infectiousness and that is certainly accomplished on “Good to Great” and its sizzling single “Look Good.” 1p5’s talents are on display here not only as a rapper but also as a producer.
