Wow :-o
I love that vocal. That is amazing. It reminds me of the work of Diamanda Galas, Lene Lovich and Nina Hagen. I love the rhythm programing and the overall sound. This is powerful music you have there and truly unique. Now, forgive me while I listen to this again. Once is not enough for this. I'm keeping this on my playlist.

A bit mixed up...
There are a lot of genres competing for dominance in this song.
We've got Prodigy circa 1996 programming the percussion. Sounds neat.
Then we've got Enya's back-up team doing the synth that backs up the vocals. Also interesting.
Then we've got Tina Turner's long lost sister on vocals.
Wow. A strange mix of styles, and somehow it works...a bit. It's definitely interesting to listen to, and there are several nice harmonies in the voice from time to time. I also like how the voice goes from being soft and sweet to choppy and frantic. It gives the song a strange feel.
Unsure what the message is in this song, but it's certainly different.

Grips you the moment the singing starts. Great to hear an obviously great singer. Love all the semitone chord chnges in this song. Great singer! Love the tablas. Great Singer! Love the way strings come in and what they do. Great singer! Brilliant harmonies! Sung by a Great Singer! This is a fabulous song that I would buy personally (or album) and deserves lots of airplay. By the way, my reviews are not often this gushing. Absolutely no critisms.

High quality, highly theatrical writing, performance, recording and production. Strong infusion of both traditional and modern surreal sonic elements throughout. Distinct Bowiesque melodic influence. Very talented lead vocal amply demonstrates wide range of professional artiste vocal expression, from whisper to wallop, soft kiss to kick-ass cry. Excellent complementary and dynamic supportive production, with plenty of room to breathe. Overall, for what the creators and participants seem to have wanted this piece to be, it's hard to imagine it being better optimized. Fantastic! -- never stop making music.

Superb
Nice diverse harmony, this song is probably from some musical. Very good structure, this is not songwriting, this is composing! I can't find weaknesses in this song, probably because I am blinded by this most expressive singer!!! with powerful manner of singing. Reminds a bit Geoff Tate from Queensryche. And don't be ashamed of the production. It is not that bad! Overall very strong performance and music. 11 points!

Consistently Mysterious
Mood? Check. Keyboards? Check. Kick-ass vocals? Check. However, my favorite thing about this song is that it stays consistent throughout. There's one musical idea and melody throughout, and the singer never forgets the song she's singing. The keyboard was perfect in capturing and expressing the mood. The mix was also spot-on, as the vocals came through beautifully and nothing overpowered anything else. The break at 1:04 sounded very familiar to me, until I finally placed it as a combination of "Silent Lucidity" and Queen's "I'm Going Slightly Mad." I'm not sure if that's the desired sound, but sounding like either of those songs is never a bad thing.- MartyVBuren from Brighton, Massachusetts on 3May2006
Interesting Composition
The obvious comparison...
Kate Bush? Very reminiscent... I hear shades of Queen as well. Well, queen if Brian May was tied up in the back room for some reason.
Wait.. I'm hearing guitar now in the background... ok... so you untied him... good.
At any rate, this song is very intruiging. It certainly held my interest all the way thru. The mood is overpowering. I can even see it being a bit longer. And that's odd for me, since I usually suggest that songs be made shorter.
I guess that's a testament to its effect on me... I was a little entranced by it, to be honest. I know that sounds like hyperbole, but 'tis true, matey.

And the award for best dramatic performance g..
It's impossible not to be drawn into the drama and theatricality of this song.
It's part Bowie, part Shirley Bassey, part Kate Bush, even part Rock Horror Picture Show. A wonderful female vocal swoons and croons via a deliciously sweeping melody complete with many very well crafted hooks.
The instrumentation of paino, ambient efects, acoustic, lead guitar, bass and percussion blend together to create the perfect backdrop for the star of the show - the vocals.

brave and pumpin'!
I like the up close and personal vocals at the start. It's a tricky proposition doing that...unless of course the vocals are killer. And yup, they are. She's livin' it baby!
The piano is great back there as support and the guitars and percussion work really well with each other once they come in.
The song is lovely. The chorus is great especially with the spooky harmonies.
If the vocals were bad, this would be an over the top cabaret melodrama, but, nope...you guys pulled it off.
Congratulations, it's a tough song make sound real.

Great use of tension...
The fantastic use of the rising tension is definitely the stand-out characteristic for this track.
I love the dramatic use of the strings towards the end, however, felt it could have gone on for even longer to keep the tension going, and going. But I also understand that you're looking for a radio edit timeframe..... but maybe an extended version with a little bit more orchestral and choir work for an even more dramatic climax could have a healthy place on the album?
The crazy electric certainly has its place towards the end in the resolution, too.
Overall, a great song, with a definite audience in the alternative bracket.
