A MAN LIKE ME
Excellent song, good lyrics and interesting melody. One of the better ones. Nice vocals, and more than competent backing. This is good enough to promote as it stands. Nice one.

THE WAKING CITY
This song has a good structure. Your verse melodies are well written, and your song title is positioned well in your chorus. I also like your chorus melody.
Your song has a good arrangement; I like the acoustic guitar (sounds almost like flamenco) tracks on this song. It gives this song a different flavor and sound.

THE SINS OF THE FATHER
I think that more songs should be written in 3/4......
The vocals are great on this and the slide guitar is a nice touch. The arrangement is imaginative.

THE SINS OF THE FATHER
There are several elements in this song that I like. This is a lyric story that is very contemporary, that many sons and fathers can relate to.
You do a good job of explaining how the sins of the father have passed down to the son. But what I like best, is that towards the end of the song, you say that the son can chart his own path, that he is not doomed to repeat the mistakes of his father. This is a strong, positive statment that adds an important dimension to this song.

TONIGHT
This is my favorite......There are several, excellent qualities that this song possesses.
I think your melody and music is terrific throughout. The ballad has a gentle, caressing feel, which is very pretty and pleasant to listen to. Both the verse melody and the chorus melody flows nicely, and makes the whole song enjoyable to listen to.
This song and arrangement (plus your vocals) reminds me a bit of a John Lennon ballad, "Because", from the Abbey Road album. The harmonies are also very well done.
Lyrically, I like the positive, romantic theme of this song.

STANDING TALL
This sounds like something from a musical - which, incidentally, is a genre that you should really think about exploring as your melodies are naturally suited to musical theatre.

YOU AND I WILL SURVIVE
There are parts of your melody which I really like. I also like your title, which is clear, and makes a strong statment.

THE BALLAD OF JOHNNY STARR
This is an interesting song, about how a rock star is so burned out on performing and being on the road, that he wants to settle down into a whole new life. I have heard many songs about being a rock star, but this is the first where the star is eager to move on and leave stardom behind.
Musically, the overall style of this song is acoustic folk/rock. In the first verse, I thought it sounded a bit like a Bob Dylan song. I do like your melody that you´ve written throughout the song. It´s catchy and fun to listen to.
Lyrically, there are some very good, well written lines. I particularly like "been on the road forever, burnt my hands when I tried to catch the sun". This is poetic, and skillfully captures Johnny´s thoughts at this moment.

BEYOND THIS POINT THERE ARE DRAGONS
The title is one of the more bizarre ones I´ve seen in a while......

BEYOND THIS POINT THERE ARE DRAGONS
This is an unique story song, with an interesting theme. You are a songwriter who likes to create stories and put yourself as the voice of the stories (Randy Newman does this very well), rather than simply sing songs in an autobiographic manner.
Writing story songs such as this is creative.
Musically, you´ve got some solid instrumental tracks here and the guitar solo is excellent.

SHE TAKES THE WORLD
This is a very appealing, positive love song, which has several good qaulities. It has a warm, sincere feel to it, that makes it enjoyable to listen to.
Structurally, this song works fine. I like the verse melody, and it leads nicely into your chorus melody. Your harmonies in the chorus help make your chorus stand out, and give the song added emotion and feeling.

SHE TAKES THE WORLD
This made me think of something that might have been done by one of the Beatles......

A MAN LIKE ME
The synth sounds are in the background behind the acoustic guitar and vocals. This lets the melody, which I like a lot, shine through - and forces the listener to focus on the song rather than the productin. This is actually quite a difficult thing to conciously do, so well done:)

A MAN LIKE ME
A well crafted pop song with an interesting lyric story. You´ve written a good, desciptive song about what it must feel like to be a lonely alcoholic on the streets. You´ve painted a good picture of the street scenes and general environment.
