Gods of Music still hates z6z (can't please 'em all)
Nice heavy beat in the intro, if lacking a little in midrange and outrageously compressed. As a musician in this type of music I can understand the right to creative freedom and one thing I learned from a very early stage is that using random notes in a way that this artist has is not particularly clever, cool or groundbreaking. It is in fact plainly annoying.

Let me put this into a little more perspective here, take a small but very loud cat screaming in your ear to the very depths of your brain, and you are getting close to what the lead synth sound is like.

Ok, so maybe I am being a little too harsh here, I will give z6z credit where its due. The pacific-sounding wood tapping sounds I liked and the overall quality of the song as a whole is particularly good, but to be honest it is a real ear-stinger at times and just needs to be toned down a little with the occasional break and a change in sounds.

What?!
Forward-thinking artform forged by a strong creative mind and a non-commercial attitude with the added bonus of a severe lack of turgid pretension that is typical of today's popular "artists".

Gods of music hates z6z
Z6Z created and copyrighted a piece of work with some good ideas in my opinion (as I am a big fan of big beat/breaks, and the like). There are some good ideas in this song, really - it's how those ideas come across, however, that presents a major problem.   If you are about to listen to this song and are reading this review first, I recommend you start with your speakers turned down to zero. The volume and distortion levels in this are about the most obtrusive and offensive that I have ever heard! With your speakers at level zero, you'll probably still be able to hear them squeal for mercy as this tune rolls through...   As I expressed, this song has some potential, but the distortion levels are so unbelievably high that it actually kills almost any good aspects within. Of what I am able to make out, the vocals are well-placed, the rhythm is likable, the swishes are nice ... but the structure needs some tidying up. Within the song there's just a drop-off to a drumbeat and the song just falls to its death at that point.   Overall, there is a great deal of work to be done here. The vox repeats a little too much, the arrangement sounds like a preliminary draft performance at times ... and of course the quality of the recording is absolutely nil.

Gods of Music loves z6z

z6z have here recorded a tune that really is revolutionary in terms of music, and vocalists cooperating to bring music forward. Instead, the music, and the vocals seem to go separate ways, for better or worse.

I truly believe that this is for the better. The vocals symbolize the "lost his way" part of the lyrics, and the music is really the road in which the vocalists try to find. Genius! As far as the actual music goes, it's your basic electronic guitars, string, and a cymbal to just mention a few. The sound quality is good, and the structure exciting enough to hold anybody's interest long enough to hear through the track. The music is intriguing, if not that, unique in every way.

z6z has here produced a song which deserves everybody's attention. So I implore everybody to check this song out, and be amazed or appalled by this track. I can't promise you'll like it. What I can promise you is a new, and unique experience that takes a little getting used to. But once you'll get there, you'll find that the style of this track may fit to your liking. If not, well, you have at least humoured me, and I thank you for that.

Either way, get this track at the url below. I don't think you'll regret this new, and exciting tasting treat. As for me, I found this new taste refreshing, and jumm jumm, can I have some more? Please?
