Listening to Renato
... He has some awsome grooves on Gente, War, Cenere, a beautiful ethnic vocals as well that suit the music perfectly. Amazzonia, has a nice jazz groove with the synth orchestra for horns very effective with the muted trumpet. And Sunrise , keeps lingering in my mind really well put together.
Great stuff Renato, keep up the good work.

"War"
War :: Dramatic, sweeping and bleeping techno intro give this piece a movie-soundtrack feel, and the sense of rising tension builds with long string lines and percussive fills ... has a strong thematic potential – good work!

'Gente' by RENATO VENTURA
'Gente' means 'people' and this song is about those people forced by circumstance in our crazy world to have to leave for other lands, it is a song about immigrants! It starts with the sound of a gypsy style violin and then a blend of instruments like keyboards and percussion come into play and introduce the singer. Throughout the song there is an alternating interplay between sung and spoken lyrics which adds to its often impassioned impact. The violin and other touches keep it folky even though it is labelled as Electronic. This folk-style feeling fits the subject matter. As a point of interest, 'Gente' reminded me strongly of songs sung by a Welsh band called Bob Delyn a'r Ebillion, and although this is in Italian and they sing in Welsh it doesn't seem to matter! It ends suddenly but that's the cue to play it again!

"Gente" by Renato Ventura
I love this song. Great Celtic feel to it. A wonderful mix of Pop and Traditional - very lively and yet tranquil. Very intellegent interaction of sounds and Renato's voice really suits the song. Its mellow tone embraces nicely the mood of the song. I can play this song over and over and always discover something new. Well done and recommended.
