Holy Folks Review by Rachel Mclennan
I must admit, it takes a lot to impress me (I’m stuck up like that) but The Holy Folks have done just that! This band is what would happen if Bright Eyes got a sense of humor. These guys are a refreshing blend of catchy melodies and folk with the occasional Camie photo thrown in for good measure! This band should be everything I stand against but I find myself really blown away! Personally, I can’t wait to see these guys play! Holy smoke! It’s The Holy Folks!

Holy Folks.....new Aberdeen anti-folk
Just thought I'd drop in a short appreciation of the Holy Folk's first gig tonight at the Tunnels. It was a charming mix of interestingly chosen covers (great to hear a Prewar Yardsale song), and cool originals, ranging from sweet, yet heartfelt lovesongs to two tongue-in-cheek songs in which a certain ornamental horse made 'Camie-o' appearances!!
A little rough round the edges, perhaps, but with great attitude.................
