Just bought the album and it's hot! I love "Love Athlete". At the moment that is my favorite tune. I recommend this album to anyone that is a fan of Brian McKnight. Great stuff here!!

What an album. Tracks 2 and 3 respectively are poor (in my opinion), but I guess I am not a real lover of uptempo R&B. Apart from those 2 tracks, the other 8 are unbelievable! A true R&B singer knows that ballads are their forte, and that they are the songs that really provoke thoughts and emotion among listeners. J Rice has 5 exceptional ballads, that really highlight the quality of his voice. The lyrics are meaningful and really make you think. I haven't even bought the album yet: I HAD to write this review based on the samples on this site because even from these samples I can tell that J Rice is going places. With the right promotion, and if he sticks to singing ballads, I'm sure he'll be a worldwide success. I just hope that today's world of Dance & Hip Hop doesn't stop artists like J Rice keeping it real and keeping real R&B and soul alive... Jon B
