Los Padrinos impressed me with their sound. I never heard of that group but they are going on my watch list! The accordionist has some sweet skills. His sound will pull you out of your chair and onto the dance floor. Great old school style sound with added flavor! That's puro conjunto...

I grew up in Uvalde escuchando la musica that
my mother played on the am radio. Listening to La Tejanita. Now I live in San Antonio and I am in the Heart of the Conjunto Universe. I have truly gone to Heaven! When I hear el Bajo Sexto y el acordeon, nombre, it brings back all the memories of growing up pobre, pero rico en la
cultura de nuestra raza; en la tierra del sol. Your conjuntos' musica tradicional toca en el mero corazon. Mi Senora y yo really love to dance taquachito listening to your music. I hope God keeps you in his prayers so that you can keep bringing happiness a Nuestra Gente. You fill so many of their hearts and soul with such orgullo de ser tejanos. Congradulations once more on your endeavor, nowadays musica de conjunto is not recorded with animo but you guys are playing from your hearts, y eso el lo que cuenta - desde el corazon. All the songs are GREAT, I had to play them several times so that I could get a little dancing en la sala going - hasta que me canse. Your music is like tortillas hechas en casa, NO SE COMPARAN!!!

I want to start off by saying you guys attacked mi corazon con mucho sentimiento with your music. It takes me back to our family reunions aqui en Califas , mi abuelo y sus hermanos (mis tios) would sing for us like the way you guys do. mis abuelos are from south Tejas (Hebbronville) and they have drove the tejano way of living in our hearts! There is about 35 or so grandchildren and we all can't live with out the musica tejana (conjunto). We weren't born in Tejas but we are at heart, and by our roots, and let me tell you we represent Tejas down here in Califas at todo los Tejano bailes (big family). I would like to say thank you for all the hard work on this cd it shows big time, I have a huge collection de todo de los conjuntos de Tejas and you guys just kick ass, como los old school conjuntos de south Tejas! Dale shine carnales y by chance you guys ever make it to the state of Califas ,don't buy no beer or food ,we'll have the cold ones cold and la brisket smokin' . Que viva south Tejas!!!!

They sound great. Great conjunto sound. The irony, a breath of fresh musical air from an old traditional sound. No frills, or glitz, just music.

Los Padrinos is an awesome band.....we had the priviledge of hearing them play at our fundraiser this year and they were, by far, the crowd favorite. If you don't have their new CD , get it , it is a must have.
