"Mystery Stare"
Just a wonderful feel good pop/rock song...
Like alot of Grays songs, the spirit and feel of this puts me
in mind of excellent 70s bands like Thin Lizzy and Cheap Trick.
Both of whoom had a similar respect for strong songwriting
and the magical possibilities of the electric pop song..

Review of "Evangeline" by the Hitmen
Wonderful warm hearted classic rock
loveliness from Gray Martin..Sweet major minor chords, ace vocals..
Its like the perfect song for that slow dance with the person
you've always fancied at the school disco-and were to afraid
to ask before....

Garageband review of "Long Way Tonight"
Normally, I don't get into songs that sound so much like other songs. This song, in it's laid-back glory, really hooked me. A little bit Herman's Hermits, a tough of Turtles and a dab of late 70's George Harrison guitar. I really liked this song. Very well recorded. The lead vocal is strong and sounds like he was meant to be singing lead. I'll be listening to this song again, that is for certain. A 5 of 5.

i could see myself sitting in a club and hearing Gray rock the place.. he's that kind of guy...

he brings all the influences from Louisiana with him as he writes some outstanding rock tunes..

and he's not too bad at saying "fokker"

"Gray Martin is a bluesman in the truest sense of the word. Humble, tasteful, understated. With great tone and chops, what more could you want from your down home guitar man?"

Review of "Matters"
"Just want to give Gray some kudos for an awesome CD!! Good tunes and fabulous guitar work that is creative, interesting, and so very smooth!! This whole CD is great to listen to... and I've got to say that my favorites are "Nothin' But Freaks...", "25 Beers", & "OUT OF TIME". "Matters" passes my "Listen to in the truck on my daily commute without going totally 'Type A' on anybody" test with flying colors!!"

"I think this guy is the king of expressive ditty guitar playing. Each instrumental tunes seems like a story in itself...I don't know, I always feel like I am listening to the man relate an experience or opinion when I listen... and it makes me want to hear more."

"Gray is a true blues man, with some 40 thousand tunes to his credit. He just wrote a tune while you read that last line. He has paid his dues, with interest and knows how to get "Down and Dirty.'" Robby James Rabuck, guitarist/recording Artist.
