This is a clever production - R&B / soul track (ok - I know that's not the correct term, but I find genres meaningless).

This has "commercial grade hit" written all over it.

The vocals are smooth, the rhythm groove is tight and well balanced, the vocals are extremely well performed, and the hook is deliberate and well thought out.

The synth and keys sounds shine here - all cleverly implemented and selected. The strings are well done especially. I like the little arp-like synth sweeps.

The bongo and percussion tracks work well in conjunction with the rest of the sounds.

The writing is great, and in its genre, it is a classy and well-worked piece with quality performances and arrangement.

My only suggestion is not to mention the year 2005 in the lyric - this will date the song, especially as record companies may opt to release this later. And on your greatest hits album in 2008, it will give the wrong idea.

Superb track.
