WIDE OPEN DREAMS / *SLINGA’S FEEL GOOD ALBUM REVIEW*
“Wide Open Dreams” is the new offering from multi award winning singer/songwriter, producer and gospel performer Andrew Dean. I really enjoyed the album and there is a song or two for all tastes as he sings about love, country life and even the odd ‘DJ’.

THERE are just 40 days left to Christmas and so thoughts must be turning to festive music. Here are a few discs to wet your appetite. Nite Sky Records offer The 12 Songs Of Christmas, songs you will all know but probably not the artistes who perform them. Andrew Dean, a Gospel and country performer who is rarely off my playlist, opens and closes the programme with a rocking version of Joy To The World and a soulful cut of O Holy Night, and in between are great cuts of the standards Jingle Bell Rock (Grizzly Dan Aldrich), White Christmas (Donald D. Harlan), Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree (Robin Akins), and Little Drummer Boy (Nic Appelhans). Also featured are A Joyful Noise, Please Come Home For Christmas, Santa Claus Is Back In Town, The Christmas Song, Merry Christmas Darling and Grown Up Christmas List by, respectively, Ellen Cooley, Kathy Fork, Lisa Gargas, Bob Vore, Randi Parton and Shirley Conley – www.NiteSkyRecords.com

I mentioned Andrew Dean at the beginning of this review and so I will finish with him (definitely not for good). Memories Of Christmas / Winter Wonderland (Nite Sky Records), is a two CD set with the first disc containing half carols and half Christmas songs such as Silent Night, God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen, Home For The Holidays and Jolly Old Saint Nicholas. The second disc features seasonal standards Let It Snow, White Christmas, Winter Wonderland and Santa Claus Is Coming To Town. The 22-song programme is brought to a close with a stunning little song called Jenny’s Gift – www.NiteSkyRecords.com
Album of the Week.

"The Harvest"
"THE HARVEST"
Andrew Dean and The Farm Machine
I just played Andrew Dean's Latest CD.... "The Harvest" released on Nite*Sky Records.....What a GREAT CD! I've been founate enough to see Andrew Dean perform "LIVE" on stage and he carries that same emotion with this Cd! When I listen to a CD, I want to be entertained & connect with the songs.....with "The Harvest"..... I did just that. Track 1.begins the musical journey with an Andrew Dean composition... Money Tree (Wonderful uptempo song)..I also, I love Robbing Peter To Pay Pauline, written by Rhonnie Scheuerman/Terrance Allan. One song that will touch your heart is In My Memory another Dean Composition. Andrew Dean wrote or co-wrote every song but one on this WONDERFUL CD!!! DJ's play cuts from " THE HARVEST" by Andrew Dean....Fan's..... this Cd is a MUST for your collection! There is NOT a bad cut on this CD!!

Oh What A Review It Is . . .
A complete on-air review of Andrew Dean's Gospel CD "A NEW HORIZON" was the feature of an hour-and-a half long show on Sunday morning.

Sunday was a sunny morning in Sevierville, TN.
WEZG 99.3 FM, nominated for CCMA Radio Station Award in Nashville this November, with host Jack Hodge, along with co-host (and son) Paul Wheeler, with Studio Engineer Harry Gilencirchen, after a GREAT interview with NEW ARTIST ANDREW DEAN.

Andrew took his CCMA voting ballot with him, and he voted "ON-AIR" for WEZG, Gospel Station of the Year. Congratulation on your nomination WEZG and Jack Hodge Gospel Ministries.

Telephone calls were received, and Andrew took a very special call from Rhonnie Scheuerman, his promoter. RhonBob Promotions also handles promotions for DJ and published award-winning poet/songwriter/Gospel singer Jack Hodge. Even though Rhonnie is very busy taking good care of her husband Bob, who is scheduled for heart surgery next week, she found the time to call. Bless you Rhonnie, and thanks for your friendship and all you do to further Andrew's music career.

We received a great bit of terrific news from Andrew's promoter while in Tennessee Labor Day weekend. He has just debuted at #10 on the Worldwide Most Played Mainstream and Indie Artists Chart for August 2003. Although we did have a goal for Andrew and his songs to receive radio airplay - we were totally shocked and Andrew was very humbled by this blessing. Thanks to the very fantastic radio DJ's and their listening audiences.

Host Jack Hodge particularly liked "What I Have Found" and "Sow That Seed For Jesus". Co-host Paul Wheeler said that he particularly liked "Grandma's Piano Bench". All agreed that they enjoyed all tracks, and said there is "...something on here for EVERYBODY".

"I'll Be Gone" Bluegrass/Gospel is the current radio single on Ready Records, and HMG bluegrass.
