Blue Misty Mountains by Ian B. MacLeod
"I first met Ian B MacLeod, the Rockabilly Cowboy, on Bandstand. Even then he was shooting headlong into recording and showbiz success.
Longevity is the one single element pivotal to confirming the strength and quality of any artist’s talents – so Ian B MacLeod will be around as long as he wants to be.
On the European Country Music Association’s charts the title track of Ian B MacLeod’s penultimate CD, Waterfall, left at least 84 other songs in its wake. It hit the No 16 slot – a tremendous achievement.
But this man does not rest on his laurels. This CD has the potential to eclipse the success of any of his previous releases. It’s chockfull of memories of a Rockabilly Cowboy live show that few would want to miss. Combined with his artistry and choice of songs, Blue Misty Mountains holds a promise of continued listening enjoyment for the coming years.

Waterfall ** Ian B. MacLeod ** Review
This is a very powerful project and reminiscent of the great vocal albums of the 50-60's. Ian B. MacLeod is an established, popular and very entertaining Australian artist, that this reporter had never been previously exposed to,........ and that is a real shame.
There is nothing like sitting back and enjoying the likes of Frank Ifield, Bing's old tunes, or the vocal magic of Gene Vincent. One gets a similar feeling when inside "Waterfall", the new CD package from this terrific Australian entertainer. I can hear big-time influences all throughout this brilliantly performed showcase of good memories and tender ballads. Ian's sensuously delivered falsetto and yodel brings it all together so smoothly, especially since that style is becoming a lost art in this new musical age of electronics and digital madness.
Among the highlights in this gem of a release, are a couple of MacLeod originals which lead us down the path of good-times-gone-by. "Waterfall", the title and opening track is a well crafted song, and a perfect showcase for Ian's crooning vocalizations. He dazzles on faves like "Cattle Call", "You Belong To Me", "Never Look Back (Perkins)", "I Remember You" and "Over the Rainbow". This CD almost plays as a talking history book creating colourful and vivid images from the beginning right through until the last distant note.
"Waterfall" by Ian B. MacLeod is chock-full of goodies and a totally enjoyable listen. Thanks for the wonderfully therapeutic relaxing hour I spent with your music, Ian.

DAMN ..... can he sing or what!?
Just received the Waterfall CD today and I'm listening to it now. I didn't think anybody could do a Slim Whitman song any justice! I was wrong.......BRAVO!
I will let our members know that here's someone who sings the yodel classics and even stays in tune! I wish you guys could do a duets LP....better yet a trio one with Byron.
