My advice....if you ain't got it....go get it.
The beats are nice, the rhymes are nicer, and overall, its a well put together piece of art. In fact, my favorite part of the album as a whole is exactly that.....its so well put together. The transition from song to song is exceptional, and JC takes you on a nice ride thru who he is and what he believes about hiphop and life....
Influences are obvious, ranging from the spacey sounds of Outkast to the old old school. However, the concepts are original, and JC's style is distinctive.
Reminds me of a white Blueprint (the rapper)...and the album reminds me of a more spacey 8 Million Stories (Soul Position...not Kurtis Blow). REMINDS. It is definitely its own project, I'm just saying it has a vague resemblance.
The only complaint is that portions of it could have been mixed better(but I'm spoiled from working with one of the best producers in the midwest...Casual T), and the packaging left alot to be desired. I'm talking sound quality though....not creativity. Creatively, this gets 10 out of 10. The sound quality was still better than most that are available, and after getting into it a little deeper, didn't detract at all from the project.
Man, JC, in my opinion, and I know every artist grows as they go.....if the packaging picked up....even as simple as a higher resolution cover and a nice glossy label....you'd have a great overall product available.
As it is, I suggest everyone get it......old schoolers will love it, and new schoolers will love AND learn from it.
Nice work man...seriously.

It's not bad, but the beat's not my to my tastes, to tell you the truth. The best part are the lyrics to me. You enunciate your words very good.
It's got that old shool feel to it. Almost a Jurassic 5-type of song.
I can definitely see this song sounding dope performed live in a small NYC lounge.

man the soundclick servers were goin mad slow. i was gettin 8 kbs on my cable modem lol. anyway i actually like this beat. for some reason it reminds me of rjd2, cannibal ox.. those cats at def jux. the lyrics are on point. only part i ain't feelin is "not gonna eat today, but i feel alright, feel okay." i dunno really, i just don't like the way that part sounds. hmm.. might be cuz like your voice kinda gets high-pitched all of a sudden. personally, i'd like that hook part with a different delivery. but yea the song is still mos def nice.

DJ Criminal
the intro goes on just a little too long for my liking, but i like the vocal sample at the start. where's that bassline come from? very familiar.....reservoir dogs is it? it's good though! i like the singing on the hook, also your flow is on point (as usual). a good track.

I like it. Just need to start rapping earlier, b/c the average listener (unless they know of your work and are feeling it) is going to become disinterested and skip the song. You have a nice flow...and I can relate to the "broken" college scenario..lol. Keep doing it playa.

"Very nice, very original, NIce use of analog sounds, The pattern right before you started rhyming was crazy ill, mad inspiring. But I felt that the beat went soft when you brang in the next pattern, the one you rhymed over, The joint lost its grimy edge, but Still very dope indeed... Keep them coming."

hungry...mad beat..the start is really interesting with the futuristic warp feel to it..the lyrics where real tight and the flow was good..you have really learn't your lines so you can spit it so well plus you have a good voice and good changing or voices levels..cause i hear alot of shit thats one long tone that doesn't change..
the checklist..this one is ok..it's kinda boring beat but still i love the sample voice in the backround and all..the flow was as good as the first one and even though i didn't think a great deal about this song it's catchey..
worker compensation..start off was the best i love this start and the beat is great..had me knodding my head the whole time..this is my fav so far..ohh the harder beat just bumped in..fuck your flow is good on this...the chorus is really catchy and it could get stuck in my head..nice veriations of your voice..also the subject matter isn't stupid like some people..me for one..yeah this is a great song
sleep..that beep sound at the start is cool when it rolls onto the song and the beat..kinda fast for my liking but its cool cause you keep to it with your rap..the beat is a bit to quiet and repedative..it just stay the sames for to long before it goes onto the chorus thing..i dont like the chorus that much it's tight and all but its a bit quite compared with your rapping..still a good song but not as good as your others
wrong side of the moon..the beat is a type of slick rick type beat with slick rap over it...again nice flow and it's cool how you double up your voice in some parts...that memory in my head part is cool and kinda funny...the beat is good as though and suits the rap and the lyrics suit the rap and beat...legalise..
the mccartney quest..ohh yeah this song is awsome as fuck..head bumping beat..i can really enjoy this song..although the buffereing is being crap it's still a good song..i dont like the guitar to much but still its good ..i think this song has the best rapping in it..your flow and lyrics are definately the best on this song..
junior mix tape..i like how its finishing from ^^^that song and rolls on..it sounds cool how the voice is echoing and the spaceship thing is cool..that buzz beat is cool as..the drum is cool and very different but it over powers your voice..kind of makes it hard to consintrate on the rap cause im listen and head bopping to the base line..fuck i hate buffering..the flow is really good as on every other song so theres no point me saying it..different song but still tight
one thing..the beat is an 80's style song with a hip drum kit feel to it if you understand what i mean..i dont like this song much..it's ok but the quality dips compared with the others..the lyrics arn't as good..this song is ok but i dont think it's anything special..
so JC i think your shits real good..i can see you try hard and practise hard and it's paid off..i rekon you've got what it takes and i look forward to some more shit from you...i hope i've help cause you do alot for the audio area but nobody really replied
haha damn at first I was like...ummm this is different, cuz I haven't really heard hiphop like this before. Now I completely tuned in and zoned out to it, HOT. It's hard to comment on the flow itself because it's so innovative, but you rode the beat extremely well.
-Headtrip
JC brings a nice slice of reality to a different foundated style...a nice gumbo of Jazz, Break Beats, HipHop, and other secret indgredients...Ive been peeping this kid for a minute....and he has really found his niche.
I really like the break beat and especially feel the part when you change the beat up with the bass line....nice touch kicko. Keep bangin em out.
