“Former band mates in several central California rock outfits in the late '80s, bassist Steve Jeffrey and drummer John Cardoso later found jazz and re-found each other. Adding sax, piano, and other lead instruments, they formed this ensemble. The tight group plays with a glowing fusion sheen, but also betrays its rock roots with pulsing drums and climactic phrasing. “
