I got hold of a copy of a 3 track EP they've produced and it blew me away! Opening cut "Prayers" manages to sound like both classic 80s rock and pretty modern at the same time. The song is well crafted and the arrangement and production is slick and professional. It's refreshing too to hear a rock band with a female vocalist, let's face it there aren't too many around these days. Next up is "I can see clearly" which starts as a fairly gentle vocals/guitar piece then changes gear midway through (like Thunder do so well). The second half is heavier and more forceful and builds to a nice climax. Finally "Rest of my life" is an engaging ballad that displays the versatility of the band. Overall these songs are excellent. These are extremely well put together, polished and mature songs. Can't wait to see 'em live... Nice one.

All I can say is well done Jewels!!!

The four piece band led by "Julie" is truly original with her almost rugged rocky voice but not too heavy as is also able to carry a ballad wonderfully. They are a band who actually look like they are enjoying themselves and interact well with the audience. Have the CD myself I actually bought it after the first time of seeing them which is well worth having. "I can see clearly" is FAN TASTIC buy the CD just for that. They need to be going further and my god I wish them all the success in the world...
