Shiva sky/ Asia minor saga
intense
This music reminds me of Buckethead or Shawn Lane more than Malmsteen. It's like a mix of avant-garde, classical and metal.
This guy has some serious talent and is more than just your usual "shredder". He's a composer too.

Again, brilliant playing. The diminished arpeggios blazing like that..I have not heard in a long while, and using a harp patch in unison was realy clever. Another realy great song. I enjoyed this alot.

shiva sky/ The aurora magistral orchestra review
Ladies and gentlemen, I would like to introduce to you "Shiva Sky".
I have worked with Len in the past, and I must say he just gets better and better.
"The Aurora Magistral Orchestra" is a superb piece. Supersoinc and flowing. Len glides through the fretboad with ease.
I am all but surprised at the talent that this young man wields.
A definite pick for "MiXposure Axe Zone". As well as your MiXPix Playlists and Radio Stations.
8 thumbs up, and a cookie.

Reviews/shiva sky
I am never comfortable out of my element. For those of you that are familiar with my reviews, you know that I try to stick to the more traditional Easy Listening, Classical, or Film type of music. I also have never been a fan of pure, modern, electric guitars. That is why I have listened in total surprise to the electric guitar based neo-classical track named “Opus Dawn: Guitar Concierto”, by ‘Shiva Sky’. The track, loosely based on the concerto form, is written, arranged, and executed professionally. This style is part of an emerging art form, and if any of you are familiar with the music of Yngwie Malmsteen, then you will have a fair idea of what drives and influences ‘Shiva Sky’. This art form tends to take very traditional musical idioms (concerto’s, etudes, etc.) and then applies pure electric guitar work to accomplish an interesting fusion of the modern, heavily rooted in the traditional. With all the skill that an accomplished keyboard player might display in rendering the works of Bach, Shiva Sky accomplishes with the electric guitar. The performance and technical skill seem patterned after the metal work of Jason Becker, but the blending of traditional and metal is a styling that shows an emerging uniqueness by Shiva Sky. If you are looking for a pure old-world classical piece, then skip this track. If, however, you want to let your mind and ears explore other possibilities, then give this track a listen.

review on opus dawn guitar concierto
Very cool intro nice guitar work. Who is this guy. Well on your way to being a guitar god.I hear shades of Steve Vai and John Petrucci, maybe even the great one Joe the surfer. The keyboard work is not to be left out as it is great as well. The drums are getting it done nothing really kicks my ass but its well played. NIce melody nice interplay between all the instruments, well orchestrated. Its a fairly decent arrangement it has touches the all important neo clasical thing going on. You could probably explore the avant guard world and experiment a bit to find a happy meeting of the two to develope a more original sound. Mind you Im not trying to detract from the great work here. Its just an Idea. This is definitly the most talented guitarist I have heard on the Garage band site. NIce work keep shredding

Man that intro was wild. Sounds like a guitar playing an ancient orchestral piece or something. Perfect arrangement. The melody is all over the place and it is very colorful with its different chord changes too. This guitar player can SHRED THE AXE BIG TIME!!!!!

review on fantasy suite in E harmonic minor
This song seems to focus on the mood created by the keyboards and the guitars. The leads are very well done, very clean and polished, and fit right in with the mood that is being created. The keyboards almost sound like a 50s horror movie soundtrack, with that creepiness mixed with weirdness when dracula finally shows his face to the humans.

review on opus dawn guitar concierto
I reviewed Shiva Sky's Orient Sky Symphony before and was caught very much in two minds - and it's the same again here. The musicianship is once again top class, the guitar work is superb and as I said in the other review - this guy would easily fit in with the Yngwie Malmsteens of this world. Indeed, as a piece of Neo-Classical Rock music, this is a top notch example. But it is very predictible (within this genre). The biggest tribute I can pay to Shiva Sky, is that even after my mixed feelings last time, I still chose to listen to them again. To sum up, there's nothing new here - but if you want to hear some excellent neo-classical fret work then take a listen.

review on asia minor saga
An rather intense song, starting right from the start at full blast, dissonant and complex, Recorded pretty well, we hear a lot in there, many instruments. all play frenetic music at the speed of sound. Has a 4/4 drum beat in the back ground. I do know where this song is going to, No highs and lows in the music, kind of full blowen all the time. But it is played well, and is a wall of sound, very avant guard. I hope that's what they were going for. A bit crazy a bit genius, Listen to it, it is interesting to say the least and the runs will blow your mind

review on fantasy suite in E harmonic minor
Here is a short hypothesis. Suppose J.S. Back went down to his local music shop and purchased a Les Paul Guitar and a Marshall stack? Perhaps he would have created symphonic guitar rock the likes of Shiva Sky.

Symphonic Recommendation:
Progressive, symphonic guitar rock is possibly the best description of what you'll hear in this amazing song. An eastern flair is present, as the lightning-fast, flaming lead guitar licks at your eardrums.

What a completely refreshing and superbly arranged piece of music! Loved the drum track but I loved the guitar adventures even more... a fine example of pure sonic wonderment and indescribable skill!
