Overall
You have a good voice and you're a good singer. If I were you,
I'd lighten up on the effects for both voice and guitar and bring
up the guitar a bit more. I think I'd try to capture more of the
guitar's full voice, too. Right now the guitar's sound is a bit
thin and too processed. (it's not a Taylor, is it?)

Michael Frazier reviews J-Dawgs - A Little Bit More
Generally, I liked the song. The vocal has a very nice quality and the guitar is well done - though maybe a bit low in the mix. I liked the second vocal idea, as well Lyrics are alright and you have a nice message - though I would have liked to see the lyrics on your site.

The mix leaves something to be desired, however. The chorus "take a little bit" section is way over driven. You are probably just overdriving the recorder or some peice of your sound gear and it really gets in the way of the song itself. If you have not listened to it on line, do so and I think you will see what I mean. I suggest backing off the mic so the quiet sections of the vocal meet up with louder sections. Watch those meter levels and don't push into the red zone. Once you've accomplished distortion from too much gain on a recording level - you can't take it back. It's a start over deal.

Best of luck and keep working - you have some talent.
