Ranch Reviews Fionna Faulk: "I'll Be Okay"
I'm a bit rusty on the ol' reviewing side of my brain today... I think I have a bit of carrot stuck in there....
But, I just listened to this song by Fionna Faulk and I have to tell all interested that I have a new favorite song.
The guitar that Fionna so artfully expresses made this hard nosed guitar players ears prick up like Spock in that episode of Star Trek when.... Never mind, I'm digressing...
I am mightily impressed by the guitar work performed by this girl who hasn't been playing all that long... Actually, I'm rather jealous! The structure has some minor flaws that could be easily worked out but the general impression that this tune left me with is one of precious bliss. I sat listening with a big grin on my face and a feeling of warmth spreading throughout my being. I absolutely love this kind of beautiful excellent playing!
Vocally Fionna gets a gold star from me! Her style is just so disarming and playful that you can't help but hang on her every word. The lyrics to this song are such a kick in the pants that juxtaposed against her sweet lilting voice, the result is the kind of chemistry that is sure to please the majority of the voting populace.... In fact at this point I'm thinking of writing in Fionna Faulk for President this November! (sorry to bring in politics...)
Listen to this song, and listen to her other great songs, because if you do the world will be a better place around your speakers or headphones!

An easy song to fall in love with...or to... (Review of "Rimshots")
This song is delivered in a sultry voice that fires the imagination. The backbeat is relaxed and gently carries the listener across a gentle tune about poetic love. The chorus of this song is as endearing as any I've heard before on GB. Overall, this [is a] gentle song that is easy to fall in love with.
