This artist (who also comes under the Ethnofobia) has only been a member of SoundClick since March, but has already made quite an impact on the boards with some impressive styles of Electronica. The track, from what my ears tell me on initial listen, dabbles within the realms of 'Intelligent Dance Music' (whatever that means). I've never really seen an actual classification for what this style is, but something tells me that this would fit into that type of genre.
In some places, this could possibily be flirting with the Industrial side of Electronica, being as it comprises of many different sound effects, wierd synths and the occasional odd bleep. The drum pattern sounds like it's been mangled and distorted somewhat, especially that snare drum! There are some clever ways in which the synth sounds have been played around with, probably none more so than the telephone sound which sounds more like an extra synth that's been embedded into the melody, rather than just a sound effect that's been thrown in for good measure.
This sounds like it's had a good deal of production time gone into it. Although it's not quite the type of music that I'd usually go for - I can certainly appreciate the style in which this has been made and the overall general composition of the track. Industrial / Experimental artists will lap this up - perhaps those who like to dabble more towards the experimental side. But either way - recommended listening!
