GruvUnion   

GruvUnion is a band from the States that really got our socks rocking! All we know about the band is that they started out in 2001 and that they are having a lot of gigs, and that is understandable because this band sounds great! Less good is that they are not playing in our neighbourhood...

Gruv Union-These are local groovy rockers with gurgling bass and hard rhythmic sound. Can't quite put my fingers around it, but they rock if your looking to sway the bod while doing 12-ounce cruls.

You guys were.............well............."The Bomb". That's the best I've ever heard you guys play, and the audience was eating it up. I didn't hear them respond like that to any other band out there. You guys were alot better than some of the "signed" bands out there. I was so happy and proud of you guys. If somebody doesn't snatch you guys up fast................they'real stupid.

Well,well,well,well,well! I am Dazed and confused about how a band like Gruv Union ended up in this area. These guys in the words of my computer friend Brian Rock Balls! And its nice to know they are not afraid to walk around with theirs hanging. Gruv Union , hailing from China Grove, N.C., is a powerhouse if nothing else. But, there is more hard-core where they come from.I opened up the cd thinking..the name Gruv Union, that it would suck. But I was handed a firm slap in the face! Gruv has influences from Suicidal Tendencies(or all the new bands that rip them off) to Ice Cube & everything in between including Limp Bizkit,Pantara & Rage Against the Machine . They hold no punches back to all the things that we're not supposed to talk about. Gruvs songs start out w/ a crawl and explode into a heavy funk and groove frenzies. They are young and more talented than alot of bands I have seen and covered! Im not shitting you either. Like I said, I was stunned at the talent this band has! This band fears none! A lot of times I meet bands that are either complete morons or egomaniacs. Gruv is located somewhere near the latter, but the only difference is that they know it. And that makes all the difference in making what they do so damn good!       By-Ragu
