"Chapter One" reviews:-
"The production is of a high standard, and makes for a well rounded release. Despite any minor complaints over the highly stripped-down approach, Chapter One, The Second Phase shows potential, and is strongly recommended to fans of the increasingly transgressive side of electronica. A solid debut." - Russell Garwood ULTIMATE METAL
"Ambience is the order of the day, by way of peculiarly organic electronica – but not ‘organic’ in a comforting human way; much of it sounds like an insect’s ear-view of the universe – noises swarm, buzz, drone & chatter throughout the album;" - Simon Bishop
"from the off a lot of depth and thought has been put into the drifting layers of looped noise and beats, rhythmical industrial sounds, and more haunting tones." - Mark Watson Jones - LINK2WALES
"more of a mental experience than simply music."
"reminds me of the soundtrack to the intensely dark television series ‘Jam’, inducing feelings of paranoia and confusion."
"the confusing world of Incandescence" - Pete Worth of LIMBIC RIOT
"Don't go thinking that it's unlistenable or merely features noise terrorism with discordant sounds aplenty because there is melody and rhythm to be found. It's just unusual. The drum notations on 'The Stars Take Shape and the Patterns mean something after all' are not out of any music book and the main theme could turn to chaos at anytime, but it never does and I was left totally intrigued and even captured by its design."
"Fascinating." - Philly at MODERN-DANCE

"Chapter Two" reviews:-
"I can definitely see it as a film soundtrack. it has a sort off dark menacing underbelly to it which really hits the spot." - Ian Sherlock
"Drawing on the surreality of insomnia or battered body clocks, this dark electronica seems best suited for painting sonic pictures on the black canvas of dark imagination."
"I think, from experience, that on psychedelics this would probably twist my melon too much but it’s testament to the quality of the invention and depth of the production that they’re not necessary to enjoy this album."
"My personal preference for dark and industrial is satisfied with tracks like “a cold announcement” and “charging robots…”, the sense of threat and a future world gone wrong.
"“Off kilter tranquillity at 6am” again sums up the strength and atmosphere of the project with its drawn out distorted, tripped-out vibes, probably my pick of the bunch."
"The skills have definitely moved on in leaps and bounds for Incandescence and the confidence in the concepts that are being created in this music are evident. What is also refreshing is that there’s enough detail in it to pick up new subtleties with each listen.
"I'd compare it favourably with Aphex Twin, Ulver's "perdition city", or the slower stuff from Sabres of Paradise. Check it out and let your imagination do the walking" - Mark Watson Jones - LINK2WALES
"marks a progression for the solo project; increasingly confident, and technically accomplished, the transition between styles and shades are smoother, and the pieces more cohesive."
"Incandescence has clearly improved, with an original sound, and more accessible, yet still unusual music."
"for fans of experimental electronica." - Russell Garwood ULTIMATE METAL
"If ‘Chapter 1’ was slightly paranoid this is just schizophrenic!"
"Like a digital sonic virus infecting living tissue, the sound waves slowly start to take over, blocking out all other noise and leading you on an aural trip into mental science fiction." - Pete Worth of LIMBIC RIOT
"Anyone thinking that it's all weird and not so wonderful ought to listen to the quirky 'Moldovia and Denmark Notice every Single Sound', where riffs and melodic interludes combine with electronica in a robotic struggle that has more twists than you could ever imagine. This instrumental brought a smile to my face. Incandescence have a lot to offer those who are forever looking for new musical horizons. It took a while for this old boy to understand the direction, but now a successful conversion has been made. Thrilling Stuff." - Philly at MODERN-DANCE
