What can be said about the work of Nexus102? Many things. It encompasses a wealth of musical influences composed from hand selected ingrediants... samples which have been collected over the course of a decade, then carefully placed into the pot and simmered into a stew of heavy melodic beats with a touch of eastern influence. The congos, the tablas... instruments that are culturally worlds apart sharing the same space. It's metaphysical. It's spiritual. It's energy. I guess in reading this, one would gather that I'm a fan. Yes, you would be correct in that assessment. Sometimes you simply need music that immediately puts your mind at ease... immediately places your being into a receptive state... something which improves your clarity... and in doing so, improves one's openess to elevated levels of thought.
