The music of Mark Brook
"The Lord of the Dance" 'The composition integrates folk music with elements of Celtic, and classical. The song -- lasting for about four-and-a-half minutes -- features Christian vocals (both male & female), acoustic guitar, classical piano, and violin...'

'... is a very professional track. The male vocals fit perfectly with the acoustic guitar, and correspond to the other elements as they are added. The song is tightly structured, but not limited in creativity. The lyrics are intelligent, and the long-term appeal soars...'

"Wicked woman" 'This song for a number of reasons intrigues me. The most obvious reason is that the song writing ability seems very competent, the recording is well done and the singer is excellent. All this being said I am left wondering why the song even exists. This is the intrigue...'

Northern Lights
Brook asserts, “there is something for everyone here”. It is an ambitious claim justified by the broad mix of folk, Celtic, folk rock and country music offered...

All of Brook’s melodies are beautiful... but “Can This Be True” is arguably the prettiest and most memorable song on the CD. A delightful and well played violin solo sets this mellow piece apart from other love songs...

The group stretches beyond traditional country on the bluesy song, “Come Back Baby”, a personal favorite largely because of the fine slide guitar work featured on this tune...

“Northern Lights” does have a broad appeal and should be a welcome edition to any CD collection. Folk and Celtic fans will especially appreciate this CD

What the reveiwers have said:
"Missing you so much" '...with a tremendous amount of character. The guitar work is sublime and the progressions are reminiscent of Cohen at his best. I just love how the acoustic and lead guitar parts compliment each other so well, and the mood that is created is truly second-to-none ,,,'

"Can this be true" '... has a wonderful rejuvenating quality to it. The beautifully rich cello parts and soothing guitar lines help to build a romance between the music and the audience in a manner that is reminiscent of Art Garfunkel’s work ...'

"In the name of the king" '...the song-writing skills on display here are certainly impressive and Mark Brook does possess his own musical style which I'm sure will continue to attract fans from all over the world ...
