With the Leader of the Band
Tony,
Your tribute to Dan is full of emotion and some of your best lyrics and melodies.

This tribute is very worthy of this great artist; I am sure he is smiling down from heaven upon such a display of love and appreciation. What great gifts God gives to us in this music and the heart of a musician - and an even greater gift that we are not merely blessed to hear, but enabled by grace to participate and join in. This is so calming and peaceful, one of your best. Well done, congrats, and RIP Dan Fogelberg.

SET MY HEART FREE on WickMan Music
In the spirit of the Raspberries and Beatles comes this wonderful upbeat tune. When was the last time you heard a song with a catchy melody and hook? You'd have to go back twenty years or more to find something as exuberant as this little gem. Crunchy guitar, a chugging rhythm, neat organ riffs that scream sixties laid on top of a drum beat that doesn't let up beginning to end. Does it sound dated? No, not at all! Tony has captured that "sound" without coming across as stale or imitative. Derivative, yes, but done with exceptional panache, as if discovering the vitality of 'rock and roil' for the first time: a return to lost innocence! The trebly vocals deliver the words with a sense of compelling urgency that truly remind the listener of a time when a song could indeed set your heart free!
