The Facts: this provocative Wichita- based rapper has opened for almost every hip-hop heavyweight to blow through his corner of the MidwestNelly, Bone Thugs & Harmony, Cypress Hill, Ja Rule...the list goes on. Aside from having sold over 13,000 copies of his self- released albums, his music has been embraced by program directors over a 4-state radius. (Radio friendly tracks like “Why Do We Cry?” and “Stop Playin’ ” were each KISS 104.7 FM’s “most requested song” for over eight consecutive weeks.) He’s performed on both of DJ Legacy’s Heatwave mixtapes and hooked up with Legacy for the mtvU 2006 Spring Break Celebration among the other headliners: Lil Wayne, Three Six Mafia and Juelz Santana. He also joined underground heavy hitter Bukshot on his “They Still Don’t Love Me” LP, which features the likes of Bubba Sparxxx, Haystak and Gangsta Black. And nohe’s not “another Eminem”, but he does respect the dude’s talent.
More facts: on “Talent Defender”, his upcoming New Life Records release, he hooks up with such emerging talents as producer Michael “Seven” Summers, r&b crooner Bri-J and charismatic Brooklyn-based rapper MYNORiTY. Whether he’s getting down on club bangers like “Hotel” and “You Want It” or rhyming at-the-speed-of light (as on the title track), “Talent Defender” is a showcase for his gritty/intense word play and always diverse sound. Not only does his music speak to the ladies as well as to the streets-he has the passion, he has the flow, he has the hits.
