This song is a bitter, vicious attack on those who have caused financial problems for all of us. The bankers, through their greed & mismanagement, have landed the whole planet in an economic and financial crisis unseen since the Great Depression.
This is a tribute to Mika, and is the long version. I think that Mika writes great pop songs, and I love the arrangements. This is my take on what he does.
Asking Bush if he truly knows what he unleashes when he goes to war, and the misery he causes.
Highly orchestrated pop ballad.
Blatantly inspired by Ray Charles's 'Take These Chains from My Heart' ... but not copied.
An orchestral ballad, though not overdone I hope...
A standard-style number which frankly should be bigger than it is. It's just piano & vocal here. I've been performing it in public for years ... it has always gone down well. Someone somewhere needs this song!
A 3/4 tempo song with male vocal and backing singers, gospel-based but less bluesy. Contemporary Christian with a touch of country is the best description.
This is an unusual but strangely commercial-sounding song - I just didn't know which way to take it, but I think I've got it now. I like the brass riff ... and so do others apparently. Cool!
This is the same recording of 'Have Another Drink' that is already uploaded to my list of songs, but I've added some samples and sound files to create the atmosphere of a 'live' piano bar performance...
A beautiful melody embellished with various VST sounds plus orchestral ones such as Strings (violins) & Cellos...
An up-tempo rocker celebrating a career in Rock 'n' Roll. The vocalist relates how's he's been in since the start and how glad he is to still be playing guitar & singing...
A mid-tempo shuffle blues - well, Rock 'n' Roll really - with a very commercial hook.
News!!! Train of Freedom is now released in the Ride The Train series from NBT Records (July, 2006).
After a life of crime, the guy's returning to Memphis to find the girl he lost.
An instrumental with acoustic guitar, piano, strings. Sure, it was done via MIDI, folks, but I can't afford a classical guitarist, bass player and string section. We have to get real, don't we?
A modern pop ballad with a very commercial hook. Can't miss!
A classic country song in 3/4 time with that unmistakeable Floyd Cramer-style piano.
The guy knows he made mistakes, and he lost her. He's full of regret & remorse, but still he can't stop thinking about her. In fact, he's re-living the times with her, even though he knows he can never have those times back again. This is despair.
A pop-reggae song. A guy wanders in the street with nowhere to go. Seeing a doorway, he rings the bell & finds himself in a rather 'special' nightclub - blue light, flickering shadows of people and a feeling of mysterious & hedonistic pleasuresi¿½
I just felt like writing a rock!
