MelchizedeK play Black Metal/Hardcore with seeming elements of Powerviolence and Crust-Punk.
It is used as a catalyst for proclaiming the gospel message, as well as an outlet for releasing emotions relative to depression, addiction, and the struggle for righteousness.
A sense of urgency seems to permeate the musical atmosphere, and in stark contrast to the obvious negative sentiments are lyrics intended for uplifting hearts, communicating hope, and exhortations to persevere and overcome.
MelchizedeK originated as an idea for an extreme metal band primarily influenced by Black Metal and Hardcore, with no theatrical focus whatsoever (the mental image first associated with MelchizedeK as a project was a black-and-white photo of the band on stage during a live performance (ironically enough) in which Michelle Massacre's Airwalk shoe would be planted in the foreground.
The idea, while being seen as something harbouring great potential, was nevertheless pushed into obscurity to make room for other projects.
However, the idea itself proved to be difficult to remove or deny. So much so, in fact, that the general concept of MelchizedeK as a band was solidified on October 8th, 2012, 6 or so years following its consideration.
So far there have been no live shows.
Although not opposed to considering the idea should it become a feasible possibility, MelchizedeK are not planning any future live shows.
