STANDARD LEASING RIGHTS

If you wish to lease Neon Egypt's music for commercial use, you will receive a high quality, untagged MP3 file of the song, and/or a copy of the full, uncompressed WAV file, as you prefer. The song file can be delivered digitally or through the mail on a CD. Standard Leasing Rights allow you to use the leased song for ONE commercial recording or broadcast. Up to 2,000 copies of this recording can then be distributed at a price you choose.

If selling more than 2,000 copies, you must acquire a new or extended lease, or purchase exclusive rights to the song. You may also use the song for non-profit promotional uses and/or demos, and these copies do not count towards the 2,000 unit sales limit.

You shall have full rights to record, alter, or mix the song in any form (except reselling the song). You will receive a contract in the mail from Neon Egypt's management company, Phenomaly Arts, granting you non-exclusive rights to the song. In the event that someone later buys exclusive rights to the same song you have leased, your existing rights shall endure, and the song is still yours to use as previously agreed. You may also still acquire extended leasing rights if selling more than 2,000 copies, since your contract predates the sale of Exclusive Rights.

Neon Egypt will not receive a royalty from your sale of products containing the leased song. You must however give full song credits to Neon Egypt on all commercial recordings. Neon Egypt still owns the song and its copyright, and is able to resell or lease the song to any other party until such time as exclusive rights have been purchased.

EXCLUSIVE RIGHTS

If you purchase Exclusive Rights to a song, you will receive an MP3 file of the song, untagged (free of soundmarks) and/or a copy of the uncompressed WAV file, as you prefer. The song file can be delivered digitally or through the mail on a CD.

Exclusive Rights grant you the permanent right to make unlimited commercial recordings and broadcasts of the song, subject to the stipulations of the provisions under SPECIAL USES below. You will have full rights to record, alter, mix or remix the song in any way, shape, or form (except reselling the song). You will receive a contract in the mail from Neon Egypt's management company, Phenomaly Arts, granting you exclusive and permanent rights to the song.

Upon purchasing exclusive rights you shall legally own the recording as a "work made for hire". Neon Egypt may no longer lease, sell or use the song, except for demonstration purposes on Neon Egypt's own promotional pages, or in other places where the song's demonstration or promotional use has been previously established, such as inclusion as part of existing compilation CDs. Neon Egypt will not receive a royalty from your sale of products containing the song. You must however give full artistic credit to Neon Egypt on all commercial recordings.

SPECIAL USES: Charity, Education, TV, Movies, Commercials, Websites

* Charity organizations: may use any Neon Egypt song freely without licensing, but must give full artistic credit to Neon Egypt
* Student projects for school/college: may use any song freely without licensing, but must give full artistic credit to Neon Egypt
* Commercials, In-house, company publications: for publications with less than 50,000 viewers Exclusive Rights shall suffice. Terms to be discussed with Neon Egypt and Phenomaly Arts for larger publications.
* Websites (less than 100,000 monthly hits): Standard Leasing Rights shall suffice
* Websites (other): must acquire Exclusive Rights
* TV/Movies: Individual project-specific agreements must be negotiated IN ADVANCE with Neon Egypt and Phenomaly Arts.
