Interview
David John Duckworth: has been creating and producing music for thirty years on and off, experimenting with lots of styles groups and different recording techniques.
Also as a diverse lyric and poetry writer, some of his pieces are captured in the book "Verse Songs and Inserts" produced in 1997.

His journey began at the age of thirteen, playing punk and rock guitar with some vocals in the 70s and 80s, then on to keyboards and electronics in the 90s, he now creates Computer music for the new millennium.
Born and raised in the back streets of suburban St Helens Lancashire as it was back then, it was life in the fast lane growing up in a strong and healthy working class environment. This helped to build the firm foundations of a very active, creative and assertive mind both lyrically, poetically and musically.

Eventually breaking away from sweet suburbia to a complete change of lifestyle and scenery, he moved to Kendal in the Lake District in the early eighties, but continued to produce, play and record with new artist’s and bands, as well as carrying on with his own work.
Now after the dawn of the new millennium he has become a much more reclusive solo artist with a fresh modern musical outlook and attitude, and is ultimately set to express himself with a new exciting and unique blend of computer generated technology.
Most of the work he's creating now are solo projects especially instrumentals and soundscapes. Currently selling and promoting some of his music on the Internet with his latest CD "The Parables Of Artistic Creativity" he says this is a positive way forward and a golden opportunity to get your sounds out there and listened to. One thing he can always relate to in life is his music, for a life without music would be no life at all!

Nearly all of David’s material is produced in a small home studio, in an idyllic part of the tranquil countryside; he adds "I hope that my musical creations can bring some sunshine into your life, so please do take some time
out, to listen and enjoy them."

David John Duckworth
The Sparrowmire Studio 2009
Why this name?
Its My Name pure simple and easy to remember.
Do you play live?
I'm a reclusive composer these days more than an acting performer.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet is a vital and necessary engine for all kinds of music, and is setting a new and very exciting precedent. This is a positive way forward and a golden opportunity to get your sounds out there and listened to.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes depending on the terms and conditions being acceptable.
Band History:
My main influence is electronic music or to give it another title, Computer Generated Electronic
Synthesis, that’s music created on a computer using a wide array of beats styles instruments and samples
to create various tunes which I then put on to CD to collate unique and individual albums.
At the moment I have created Nine CD albums in the last 8 years, my latest release is featured as a debut
Internet CD called “The Parables Of Artistic Creativity” and is proving to be quite successful so far. All
the music is mixed down at my home studio conveniently called The Sparrowmire Studio.
Most of my work could be classed as a full audio experience through many various stages, including audio
production, audio editing, and designing the product cover, It’s like harnessing an idea from the initial
concept and ultimately ending up with the final CD shrink-wrapped and ready to be dispatched and played
around the world.
Instrumentals and soundscapes are the kind of music I like to create, you can be taken on an audio
journey down many different roads, comprehensive creations keep the listener interested in a musical
canvass that never stays the same, and always remains wet never drying out, as long as your imagination
lets you continue to study the audio content albeit Mp3 wav or midi files and you can still digest them all.
Music is like eating food, as long as you remain hungry then you will never get bored, as long as there is a
lot of variation in what you eat or listen to, then variety remains the spice of life. That’s why I always
make sure there is plenty on my menu of music to choose from.
In all the years I’ve played, recorded and studied music, the material I am creating now gives me the most
pleasure. The quality of this high end production is unique, and within the vast musical sphere that is
available now, in an ever growing digital era it is therefore unsurpassed, Where will we be in the year
3000?
Your influences?
Kraftwerk, Depeche Mode, OMD, Ultravox, Visage, Blancmange, Magazine, Giger, Dali, Bosch, Brian Patten, Uncle Ernie.
Favorite spot?
It would have to be Paris, as the true city of culture.
Equipment used:
Sorry It's a trade secret.
Anything else...?
As time moves on, we leave the music of the past behind us, and in our ever advancing world we must move
on, now it’s time to let the machines compose another symphony, and with the dawning of this digital age, new
and more modern sounds are present, yes
Computer music is the music of the future,..
