I'll be bouncing back and forth between production and DJing for a bit, tracks will be updated as time permits. Leave your feedback below and I will do my best to return the favor.
some hip hoip sh*** you might not have heard from me up here! appreciate any opinions.
hey man, like your style a lot; The Corner is great!
Please check out my newest track and let me know what you think about it...
Hoi,

Happy Belated is up...lovely drums! Very rich and full. Kick is on the mark m8!

Warm subz, good use of samples...has that kinda NYE chimes sat in the mix too!

I have told this to DTR as well, and I am not a master, no way near...but, the mix started to get stale around the 2.30 mark.

More musical variation needs to be present in yer mix to keep the interest in your mind.

Everything else is there m8, the produckshun, techniques, edits, structure. Its cool m8!

But, the music needs to tell a story.

The easiest way I can say it, is that each sound has something to say. Let it talk to you. Get that bass talkin...

Good effort though, like it!

whats up, just stopping by to check out your site and to let you know that we have a lot of cool new music that you might want to listen to. our two sites are www.jeejuh.com and www.soundclick.com/jeejuh
thanks for checkin the new one man--

some good response to that tune. could of held onto it for ages tweaking but just had to get it out of my 'system'

definately could do with a few more mastering tweaks especially on the drums....i think but thats exactly it. over listend to this so much that my judgements were just becoming erratic.

you know how all of a sudden something sounds wrong but its just that you're focusing on it too much rather than the whole track? had that for like a month which was why it was taking so long. "hi hats too loud" 'atmos too low', track too 'annoying' etc etc

i'll definitely tweak it up abit some more in the future---just need to wait a while until i havnt heard it for a longer period of time.

justc checking all the little updates. sounding good still. the changes are subtle but definately sounding better. noticing an extra added harmonic on the sub bass to the corner. definately gives it more character. unless that was already there before! haha its like spot the difference.

regardless is sounding nice also. nicer drums and nicer sub this time round. better use of that sample too--elements are more spaced out. nice one. amen fills are sounding on point too. nice work.

now elevation. still a massive tune. liking the fast little bell/chime adjustments. dont remember it being like that last time. sounding good-whole new almost subliminal melody to it.
half speed bits always sounding nice, nice groove transformations. nice sh*** man!

keep em comin
Like ur stuff man. cool and liquidy.
Check mine out and leave me a comment.
Keep it up. Lovely.
new track up wink ;)
happy belated is sounding nice mate. proper laid back--liking the 360 panning on the chime type things. half speed delyaed break sounding cool too--quite a trippy track actually.you got your sub bass sounding nice lately but i think some kind of lead sound would really benefit. a piano melody or something to accompany the (chime?) things. but yeah sounding good so far. should have a new tune up soon-ish. half speed dnb beats with dark dnb/dubstep vibes with a hip hop structure. its doing my head in now--actually started it in april before both of my last tunes and now ive over-listened to it!!!

Hoi,

Cool man, nice wordz. So, that's a good thing, to have a clear picture of what you want to do.

Listen to those who have been successful and those who ain't. Try to identify the elements that work for you.

Other than that m8 go for it!

Aww Hells yeah! Biochemical Equation is tight man! And 170 just happens to be one of my favorite bpm's! added it to me stationwink ;)
Hoi TDB,

If you want to know how to make your music talk, go and check out Euge Groove, Leon Ware, Najee, Paul Hardcastle, Photek.

When u have done this come back to me, I have additional questions.

dat corner flip is tight, keep keep on
Hoi DB,

EZ cuz! Like this new number, Biochemical Eq...gud interchanges, and the final bar loop, is well worked.

My only point is that it got a touch stale around the 3 min mark, the same loop had been worked for a while.

If you really thought about it, you could put so much more into that number.

The bassline was sufficient, but again, I felt that you could have been more creative here.

You see, like with all arts, music unlike the science subjects, works from a basic structure. There are rules, but they only act as a guide.

Four beats to a bar, 7 notes to an octave etc...how you arrange it, how you make it work are just as important as the notes and sounds used.

I am no expert, far from it, but all I can pass onto you, is my DJ style and interpretation.

If I had been sent a piece of vinyl with this track on it, I would maybe use it in a pre recorded mix but only as a filler, say 1.5 mins.

I make this because my mind gets tired after a while and it soon identifies where the changes should come in. When they don't happen, this is where you switch off from the music.

Its a subtle craft sometimes, with trying tto carefully spot things in certain sequences.

Photek is a master at it...

But, don't think I am being harsh here. You have a real musical brain. Express in the best ways you can your ideas.

Try to keep challenging your techniques and make it as near to a pro recording given your resources.

This is where I score very low!

Gud track though, meaty beatz!

Keep in touch m8
