Kosmic Daydream was founded in 2001 by Jeniffer De Los Santos and Adam Hirschman. Their first several performances were as an acoustic duo. Since those humble beginnings, and with the addition of Jimmi Dylan and Jose Cruz, the band has evolved into an electrically charged musical juggernaut.
The band’s influences are a whirling, swirling, blend of British Blues (think Led Zeppelin, Janis Joplin, and The Kinks) with punk edginess (The Ramones, Blondie, and The Clash) all the while carving out their own sound and style.
Kosmic Daydream’s debut release, simply titled 'live', delivers a blend of edgy punk rock and swirling psychedelic blues a veritable aural invasion of grand proportions.
Recorded live at The Underpass in Elmwood Park, NJ, the album captures the very feeling of hot lights, sweaty hands, and broken drumsticks of being on stage and playing to a crowd of what it is to be a band.
From Jeniffer’s passionate and unique vocal and lyrical styles, to Jimmi’s loose rhythm and inspiring guitar work, to Adam’s melodic and aggressive basslines, and to Jose’s pounding and grooving drum work, this album is an eclectic and electric wake up call to the world.
BlowUpRadio.com named it The Album of the Month for October 2006.
