Frank Coffey - Singer / Songwriter
Ive been making music almost my entire life, started performing at the VFW when I was 9 and I was hooked. Had a rock band in high school and a country band after that with my two older brothers, now I just write and record when I can.
I dont play live except private parties. I do mostly cover tunes but I throw in a few of mine if I can do them with just the guitar. I was the opening act for two living room shows by Pat DiNizio of the Smithereens, that was very cool.
Wow.. where do I even start. Do I have to list all 500 of them ? I dont think I have a style after 150 songs. It can come out of the blue and be anything. I dont try to write a type of music I just do what comes to me. I listen to rock mostly but I like to play and record country and folk also. As a teen I would play clarinet and sax in school band, practice with my rock band after school and then come home and sit on the porch with my father and play old Ernest Tubb and Hank Williams songs. Maybe I wasnt even very aware that there were types of music.. it was just music.

It would be cool to hear my songs done by a real band, maybe some young musicians will hear some of these and want to do them. That would be a real trip. For now I have 60 songs on YouTube on my channel "Frank Coffey Songs". https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCxQlXTYhB7vyLVdJfqDlX1A
