Finally.... Larry Ann. I know your fans were waiting for this one. Great recording. It sounds wonderful. Love this song, Rob.
Rob, Just working around the house today letting your catalog play. Great stuff. Thanks.
Kevin
Thanks Kingly. I'm so old and unhip I thought you were dissing me, until I looked up "dopest" in the urban dictionary and it said
"Dopest definitions:
Sickest; coolest; tightest; most awesome"
Well I heard some of the tracks on your site and I think it's some of the best I've ever heard in your genre..that's also a complement. You are excellent.
Rob Lincoln on SoundClick, you got the dopest sounds and I'm feeling your page....I sell beats, check em' out, tell me what you think, peace. =]
Sweet Marie: on second thought....
Oh wow... didn't even realize it was the same tune as the version on your Cd.
Tempo is much different and even the melody doesn't quite sound the same.
I wasn't impressed when I heard this version, but then I went back and listened to the men from when version again and liked it a lot. Sometimes song sound best in the nude and sometimes I like them all dressed up.

Re: Sweet Marie.
Ok/ I give up. A shooting star? A constellation? A ufo? A russian satellite?
A flying dylan song?

I wanted to get up and dance to this one!!!!! Great energy!
Yep. Hey Yo! was recorded and mixed in about 45 minutes, all first takes...just yesterday in fact. The song itself I wrote in '89 and never played it to anyone.

Overall Rating
Very early seventies. Curious about the recording. Is this a recent recording?

hey rob, just wanted to say hello...and to let you know that i am going to steal your chronological presentation idea as i post my best 140 songs starting with my first one in 1984. :-)
Mango is just brilliant.
I like the guitar picking and melody to hindsight. The lyrics are a little vague and not up to your usual standard. It feels like you were hiding something.

Like the guitar riffs on As usual. Also liked the way you phrased the words "as usual"... the lyrics were a little heavy-handed, but they are offset by the haunting melody and guitar rhthym. Very cool runs.

Twinkling Star was always a favorite. I love the sincere delivery. Great recording.

Hi Rob, many thanks for coming forward and for your open-handed offer, we truly appreciate it.
I haven´t had much time so far to give your material a proper listen, which I know it deserves!, but I will as soon as things start to quiet down a bit.
We´ll stay in touch.

All the best to you from
