Original and Cover tunes from a group of songwriters/musicians. We call our music Red Dirt, Blues.
Bob Powers, a woodworking craftsman by trade, had a young man (Jon Joyce) come in to his shop to have a cabinet made. They talked about music, Bob mentioned his Studio in back and they got together and started playing together.
Bob ran into Howard Brady (Ex-member of Woodrose (also Woodrose(Original)) and he joined them.
I was putting together the soundclick sight for Woodrose (Original), Howard & I were founding members, and I decided to call Howard. He told me about the goup they had put together and asked me to come play with them.
Bob has been a strong talent in the Southwest for years. He also played with an up and coming Native American star by the name of T.C. Cannon. (Whose life was short lived.)
Jon is a powerful songwriter with the ability to crank out wonderful songs. He is the younger one of the bunch. His songs really make you think about your past, your future what life is really all about. Unfortunately, Jon left the band to pursue his own musical career.
Howard has played in the Southwest music scene going back to the 70's. He was lead singer and a founding member of Woodrose (Original). He is a very intense writer and loves Oklahoma Outlaws and Oklahoma History. His songs reflect this very well. (For more info on Howard, see Woodrose and Woodrose (Original) here on Soundclick.
