Sheena -
The recordings getting better. I think you have some good themes going and some good lyrical ideas, but are trying to get too much out of single themes and A-A-A structures. To me your songs are crying for some bridge and chorus changes to carry them forward.

Sheena,
The notebook promise, wow, what can I say, I love this kind of song...one that cries out in a subtle way. The lyrics fit the arrangemnet perfectly and your vocal delivery is perfectly understated, alot can be said in subtleness. This is such sad song and as Marty, you can say something in the outtro that would just bring it home that would add some dynamics to the song. But I truely love it the way it is, powerful and understated!

"But yet it's all you wish for. "
This doesn't hit hard enough in the end line. If you can get that across, you'll have a great song here.

Hey Sheena,
i'm not listening to the sound quality but rather the songwriting and from what I can hear you have alot of potential for making some great music. What matters is that you are writing songs and putting them out there for people to hear weather it be here or live for some friends...follow your heart!
Michelle Branch is a great role model to have!
Keep singing and playing........
You could get some tips on home recording on a budget at my board.

Well, I can tell youb have a good voice and u seem to know how to play guitar. If I were you I would invest a little money (about 200$) and get some recording gear. Not that many people will sit through these song the way they are....Lots of noise. I think you have talent but you need to get better recordings of your music...if u need advice on what to get, email me bry4stl@yahoo.com
and check out my page
