This song is off the CD "Blues without the blues." My aim is to take the "Blues" out of the "Blues!" To share the joy & peace found with a relationship with Christ and His saving grace.

Could you write a song about Jesus requirement of the rich young ruler? "You still lack one thing. Sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me." Why was the man told to do something else before he was told to "come to Me"?
5/11/2013 UPDATE! I'm a year wiser now, and during that time the Lord has been teaching me humility. I still don't really have a perfect answer for my own question, maybe the rich young rulers' interaction with the Lord was an act of pride or defiance, I don't know. But I do know that my perspective is different than it used to be. Now I hope with everything that I am that all I need to do is come to Him, because that's all I see that I can do. This song is a treasure, straight from the merciful heart of our Savior.

Very edifying. I would add more powerful music. The emotion is waiting to be evoked.

Great voice and harmonies. Arrangement is nice too. The voice reminds me of a certain Christian singer from the 80's whose name escapes me now. (He had a brother who also sang and became a Franciscan monk). The only thing I'd change is the placement of the bridge. It appears only 1/3 of the way into the song. Too early in my opinion. Good job tho.

Excellent voice, great pitch. A voice of this quality doesn't need quite so much reverb. Cello or violin in the background would be a good addition. An instrumental lead would also be nice. Good job.
