I love all your music, and this is a particular favorite! I can and have played this for hours at a stretch. I never tire of it. Your SoundClick catalogue is very impressive. One of my SC stations showcases Scottish music. The program is currently four hours long--and almost half the tunes are yours! Thank you for this enjoyment.

Hi David. We love your music. Its very nice and gentle to listen to.
This is the style of music we play, which leaves space for the listener to take it all in.
Keep it up.
All the best.

Very nice, peaceful and beautiful. I can only hope & pray the younger generation will come back to simple and beautiful music.
I thought I should add by simple I meant no other instruments, Just the guitar. Now days people use electronics and lots of other instruments. To me this is overkill and people have lost the beauty of simplicity.

I really like the way you interpret the songs you have here on soundclick. This one is very well done.

Great accent adds authenticity to this song. Well done.

This is just a flat out fantastic song in every way. I don't like to give 5 stars at all, but how can I not? Any song with an historical basis is great to me, but to sound this incredible is icing on the proverbial cake. HUGE Kudos!

Hi TrickT (whatever?) - you may be closer to the way Robert Jones's song could have been performed using a citten. The lightly strummed guitar sound is very much like a cittern of the time, and I do not believe that ordinary folk attempted lute arrangements, I am sure they strummed much as we do today!
MacGregor - well, you don't know your history! Look up 'The Bluidy Sarks' written by George Weir and recorded by the Corries. Clan Colquhoun (my lot) were responsible for getting the MacGregors proscribed and exiled, and the feud between the south end of Loch Lomond and the north end was bloody and long lasting. Brothers... sworn enemies!
I have a couple of good friends from the MacGregor persuasion of course, and they eventually did let them back in. As long as they promised not to grow red beards. The archetypal McGregor is Mr MacGregor in Beatrix Potter's Tale of Peter Rabbit, which she wrote while staying in Scotland. Her illustration of the ginger haired Scot was reinforced when, as a kid, I was taught by a MacGregor with exactly the same complexion and temperament!
