SUPER PHAT PRODUCTIONS
BATTLE OF THE BEATS
PART 1.
AS OF 1:40 AM ON JAN 12TH THERE ARE PRESENTLY 15 PRODUCERS AND 5 EMCEES SIGNED UP . DONT SLEEP
1. All contestants bust sign up by e-mail to: SUPERPHATPRODUCTIONS@YAHOO.COM NO LATER THAN JAN 23 2003.
ALL BEATS MUST BE SUBMITTED BE THE 24TH SO DON’T DELAY
2.After receiving your entry request you will receive 3 samples to choose from by e-mail. All entries must use one or more of theses samples in the track, along with any other samples or drums they choose. Instrumentals must be originals and not have been used on previously recorded songs. Instrumental length must not be less than two minutes and 15 seconds nor more than four minutes. Super Phat Productions will not use or reproduce your instrumental outside the context of the tournament without your permission. If more opportunities arise concerning promotion of your instrumental, Super Phat Productions will contact you for your approval or disapproval.
3. You must send your Instrumental to the address listed above in order to be judged.
4. There will be three Judges for this contest and it will be based on creativity and production. (We understand that not all contestants have access to high quality studio equipment so to be fair sound quality will not be a major factor in judging, but keep in mind that in part two of this contest there will be emcee’s flowing over some of these tracks and try your best to make it sound as clear as possible.) We will award three-winners.1st 2nd and 3rd place. The 3 winners Instrumentals will be placed on a Sound click page along with the order in which they placed.
5. All entries will be up’ed to soundclick.com/battleofthebeatsdetroitstyle for all others to hear. If you choose not to have your song available for download you must let this be known at the time you submit the track.
ALSO All tracks submitted could possibly be used by an emcee in the next round and by turning in an Instrumental you agree to allow any emcee to flow upon your track, which will later be judged.
6. At this time the contest is only for bragging rights. And a chance for you to see how your rank against others along with a way to meet new people you may have never came across. If this contest goes well We will hold another in 3 months and at that time we will have set up a pay pal account to which you would send your entry fee and it would be a winner take all prize. There could also be some sponsorship envied which would make it more attractive. SO GOOD LUCK AND GET TO BANGIN ON THEM BEATS WE ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO SOME TOUGH COMPETITION.
