Came by because I heard you on the charts...and stayed ages listening...you have some compelling songs here, and an absolute gem in A Day to Remember which I have added to two of my stations....very powerful lyric and vocal!! I'll be back again.

I HAVE AN ISSUE WITH SOUNDCLICK!!!! And since they have chosen to ignore me and my many e-mails, then I have chosen to take this issue to the Message Board.

I had a song on my site called “As You Do”, which came from a poem that I had written and LeRhay and Sharon Mark had so beautifully put to a song. When the Talk/Poetry charts opened, we placed it on that chart because the verses were mostly spoken words and it did have some singing in it. The song jumped quickly to #2. Without any warning or notification, THE POWERS THAT BE here at Soundclick took the song off the Talk/Poetry genre and placed in one that was so far off it wasn’t even funny. I wrote them and tried to find out why and all they would say is that they reviewed many songs on that chart and made many changes that day. I explained that I would follow their rules but they had yet to post any and even when I asked for their rules several times, they have not responded by giving them to me. I finally convinced them to at least move it to the POP genre. They did and then they froze it so that I could not move it again!

As I said, I have problem following their rules but the thing is NOW, they are not even following their OWN RULES!!! I have brought to their attention many artists showing on the charts right now that have songs with singing in them. Yet TPTB allow these songs, against my protest. The #1 song right now is NOTHING BUT singing, there IS NO ‘spoken word’ and another one on this chart has no vocals at all, it’s only instrumental.

Soundclick is being very UNFAIR about this. They will not respond to my many e-mails. They are not making any adjustments concerning my complaints. They are allowing the very thing they booted me off this chart for and I don’t understand it and I sure as heck don’t like it!

Is this the way customers on Soundclick are to be treated??? Especially a paying customer???

I wanted to make other artists aware of this because it is not fair. If they are going to allow singing on the Talk/Poetry chart, then there is NO REASON that they should not allow my song back on this chart. I know my measly little monthly fee is a drop in the bucket to them, but it could be YOU that they treat this way next time.
