I beg to differ. There's nothing ordinary about you.
Ordinary men don't rip open their chest, pull their
hearts out, and say "here"
I can't listen to the whole thing right now. Emotional
week for me. I'll be back.

love this. the beginning is so cool. gave me chills when
it kicked into gear. I love how your make your electric
guitar sound like the wind of ghosts. drums are great
sounding. I like the stick-hit noise. vocals are perfect.
mix is just right. The swirling synth adds a nice texture.
I could listen to this all day. The words are easy for me to
relate to.

Surprising what one can find out here in the ether mate.
Spaced intro gives way to a relaxing beat and bass combination.Nice little sliding upscales on that bass which are so so well played too.
I'm taken by the amount of space you have in this mix Nigel it may be the swirling wavestation pad gently caressing my ears as the filter opens and closes. It may be the fact that the drums are mixed real low allowing the perc elements the freedom to "sing".Whatever it is its nice.
Bit of a lift now as the guitar come calling and the chords take on a more brutal flow. This is like The Bad Things done with a real touch of rock.
Lyrically you know this is going to get me.Its a feeling that so many feel under their consciouseness.Unable to accept.
I think you have achieved musically here what you set out to achieve. Its been a real nice way to spend the last hour or so...here and on Dace's page elsewhere no prompts just travelling without moving.

I really love this one, guys. It may be the most "commercial" sounding thing I've ever heard from either of you. And that is never a bad thing. In fact, in this case, it's a good thing. A very good thing, actually. Might be the most cheerful thing I've ever head on this forum. The element of hope shines through this one, oh so brightly, and I've let this loop three or four times, and will download it soon as I hit the big "enter" button.
Yeah, the words hit home. I can't imagine feeling more hopeful for a new year. And I was really starting to doubt that I could take a beltsander to my patented cynicism about how things will go this year. Now I don't need to. I feel like if anyone I know is making music like this, then maybe some of us--hopefully, all of us--are plugged into the planetary psyche and have an idea of how people feel, what we're really yearning for. Sorry to babble incessantly here, kids, but I came into this late in the game, and wanted to share the great vibe of this wonderful track from two people I really, truly appreciate ...
Peace,
Jim

Great collaboration! The lyrics are fantastic and so emotional, so I love it. Sense atmosphere and wonderful to listen to your collab. (Dace told me about your new song, he was so enthusiastic about your song).
