We just added a new feature on gotnok.blogspot.com! I am really excited about it. Now you will be able to follow along with me on my exploration of the web to uncover what knowledge, resources, and tools are out there that can help an up-and-coming Hip Hop/ Rap music entrepreneur break into the business. Here's how it works. During my daily web surfing I come across massive amounts of information that is useful for independents and major labels. Info such as: how to build your own acoustic studio treatment, or how to get your music on iTunes (selling for 99cents) for a $18 one time fee. When I come across websites that have info I think is useful to people like me, I use del.icio.us to bookmark, comment, and tag the website that has the info. Once this happens, the bookmark is automatically put into a chronological list of ten links on gotnok.blogspot.com. These links represent the last ten websites I found to have info related to music that was useful to me. There is also a link that will take you to all my other del.icio.us bookmarks. Goto gotnok.blogspot.com now and start exploring, I promise that you will discovery something new in the music business world, and odds are you will find something that will help you leverage your love for music to reach your goals and dreams.

ciao famiglia....this is Nicky Scarfo here...just gonna give ya'll a heads up...currently im collecting tracks, checkin out artists, and basically compiling an arsenal of TIGHT TIGHT TIGHT Italian Artists (producers, singers, emcees, dj's, graffiti artists)and showcasing them in a one-of-a-kind album...if you are Italian and you can seriously rock it..if you rock it with some italian artists, or if you know of anyone who can..hit me up...im lookin to have collected all the material by January 2007. Artists from ALL OVER THE WORLD are welcome..cuz we know italians are everywhere.
Also the name of the album is open for suggestion...
any graffiti artists who want to design an album cover..hit me up..
we are gonna keep this thing Italiano in every aspect. but i will not descriminate, even if u can bring an italian style to the table...who knows...
so hit me up if ANY of you are down..... what a good way to unite us italians from around the world...so whether u r from italian descent and represent your italian heritage to the fullest...thats all the qualifications that is needed...well besides from being DOPE...feel me?

NKY Mixtape Radio

Celebrating our first month online, the NKY Mixtape Radio is proud to continue bring that hot Northern Kentucky sound to the masses. In our first month we have helped promote over 15 local hip hop, rap, and rnb artists in three episodes of the NKY Mixtape. We have connected the region from Maysville to Louisville from Covington to Lexington. We have made strides toward a monthly freestyle battle and have threw a Hip Hop Reunion Block Party right here in the dirty Flo-Town (Florence). It has been a successful month. But there is more to be done.
Our plans for the future include transforming into an "always on" internet radio station with multiple Hip Hop oriented shows. Releasing a "best of NKY" mixtape. Throwing those freestyle battles. Being the first to aire homegrown NKY music from upcoming album projects. Adding advertisers to generate revenue which will be channeled into helping the NKY Hip Hop scene continue to grow. Adding "myspace" style band pages for anyone involved in the NKY Hip Hop scene.
We will also be expanding the main gotnok website. The web address for gotnok.blogspot.com will be changing to gotnok.tv in a few days. We will be adding a street battle esque video series featuring freestyle battles from the block and at famous NKY locales, which will also air on local public access channels. We are also looking into developing an online store were listeners will be able to purchase locally released rap music and clothing. Oh yea, we are also gonna be adding a searchable online database for snitches. If you know a snitch in your area, please send us his/her name with a copy of the discovery that the lawyer gets after the indicement is made. We will his/her info to the database. That way, if you doing some dirty work and you bout to fuk wit someone new, search their name in our database. See if they a snitch. Snitches are bi***es, on my word.
Don't get it twisted, we growing cuz NKY Hip Hop is growing. If it dies, we die. That simple. We hope that gotnok will become a measuring stick as to how healthy the NKY Hip Hop and Rap scene truly is.
Anywayz make sure you listen to the showz we doing now. Itz all hot. No lie. Peep it out, bet you suprise at how dynamic and versitile we Ky boyz is.

What's Good? gotnok.blogspot.com is putting together an internet radio show that reps the NKY Hip Hop Scene to tha fullest. Tha show will be produced by Rokamic, who is part of the local collective known as LOFEO. I want to have some of your music on the show.
The first show we will be producing is called NKY Mixtape, and will consist of songs by local artists and producers, played along with other tracks like the ones you hear on the WIZ and on mixtapes like the ones Big Mike and DJ Drama produce. NKY Mixtape will podcast the first show on JUNE 21, 2006. NKY Mixtape will also air interviews of local artists, battles, and straight freestyles. The shows will all be in podcast/mp3 format. If you are interested in participating or have any comments, ideas, suggestions, or questions please email me ASAP.
