Some pretty cool ass kickin punk rock.
Below is the link to my music. It's a little on the radical side, but fun for the whole family.

This weekend held the two best punk shows I've been to in Binghamton in several years. Lots of older punks, lots of circle pits and pogo dancing, singing along, spit flying everywhere, friends and good times abound. My teen years and spirit have been rekindled. I feel 10 years younger now. My body doesn't though. I'm very sore. Hopefully there will be more incredible shows like this past weekend in the near future. It's time for a real punk rock revival!!!!!!!!!

For me it was all one big trip to the old days. From their earliest days to the end. From the beginning of Cheers on Main St to it's end on Clinton St. I saw half of Indicision/Fink Squad. Spooty and Maria up from Jersey. A-Bomb. Yeah there was a lot of old schoolers there. A lot of people I haven't seen in years. I still remember seeing Abalienation when Mark quit and moved to Canada. Not the same. This was more like what I remember. Perhaps it will happen again soon. I miss the music. The pop thing is good for those who like it but, well, I guess I'm too old. BUt it was still great to see Abalienation grace the stage in Binghamto once again.

f***en amazing sh***: A bomb, The Dickinson brothers, all the old punks who we dont see at shows any more, the pit, singing into the mic with abalienation, the spitting, and Phrank being f***ed around with on stage by Mike.
This Sunday brought some f***en joy into my life. We need more shows like this.

What can erally be said about the late great Abalienation that hasn't allready been said. Everyone in this scene today has in one way or another been affected by this band. Those of us who are older remember seeing them play and buying their tapes and 7 inches, and the younger kids coming up right now hear the stories of "back in the day" when Binghamton was cool.
I first encountered Abalienation when I was 13 years old. Mike was working at a local record shop on Main St called That CD and Tape Place. I would walk to that shop every weekend with my $5 allowance to buy a new 7 inch for my hand me down record player. Mike consistantly pointed me to amazing music, introduced me to Fugazi, Negativland, MDC, and the Phillipine Violators...
After frequenting the shop for about a year a noticed this section of cassettes that had never caught my eye before, the local section. I went through the section over and over looking for something good when Mike suggested I buy something by his band (shameless self promotor..lol) So I picked up a cassette called SHOOT COPS NOT DOPE (when the guy behind the counter is a full foot and a half taller than you, you'll buy what they want you too)
I walked home with that cassette in my walkman and my life was changed forever. I didn't realize at the time that anyone in Binghamton had a band so brutal and so humorous. I instantly fell in love with songs like You Suck Moose Wang, and "Deaf Child Area" . And from that day forward I was terribly into Abalienation. I bought every release they put out. Abalienation was the best thing going in Binghamton in the early 90's, perhaps the best of all time. I have seen no band since, that has garnered the respect and commanded as big a following as the Dickinsons and company.
Sadly I missed the last show and I will forever regret that i was absent, But at least I will still have my tapes and my memories from a time when the Binghamton scene was no joke.
Mark, Mike, Jim, (and all your drummers too) will live on in the memories of all that were fortunate enough to expirience Abalienation in there prime.

PS any hardcore punk band with the balls to play a Waitresses cover gets a very special lil place in my heart
